About this house rental

A very Private and Quiet 5 bedroom 2 Full Bath and 2 Half Bath home nested in the redwoods in Santa Rosa in the center of the Wine Country. Open beam ceilings, 3 fire places, 1500 sq feet redwood deck, Private circular drive, large hot tub and Fire Pit. Outdoor and indoor seating. The property has many lovely paths and outdoor benches to relax on. The inside of the house has Oak Trim everywhere, is soundproof and has a solarium facing south.

This Estate is Sea Ranch style with high ceiling and many skylights to view the dense surrounding redwoods. The main floor has 5 bedrooms. The city will allow 10 adult guests to sleep overnight and no more than 5 day time guests. It is decorated with Midcentury modern furniture and displays many images and maps from the surrounding areas. The spacious 3 level deck has plush sofas, a hammock, chairs and two dining tables. It has 5 bedrooms, 8 beds and 4 bathrooms on the main floor of the house. It has a large hot tub in the garden for 6, a fire pit for 10, and gas burning range. The grounds are magnificent and the home has every possible amenity. You will enjoy the high quality linens, wine glasses and wine supplies and a complete kitchen.

This property was perfect for us. We had a family reunion. Our family is spread out over Colorado, So. Cal, Mid Cal and Oregon. This property allowed us to live together again and enjoy our time together, visit vocal wineries & a swim pond for the kids and young adults. There is a hot tub that was used daily, plus a beautiful patio with a fire pit & BBQ. It was perfect for our family.

The house is large with many well appointed rooms so there is plenty for everyone to do either together or alone. The sound system was very good on one end of the house, the Library had a fireplace, tv , plenty of games and a large table for gathering. The landscaping, fire pit and hot tub were fun gathering areas. Great for larger numbers of guests.

Top-notch vacation rental experience, wonderful property and host This was possibly the best vacation rental I've experienced. While the interior is dated, it is all incredibly well kept-up and clean; and it quickly felt cozy, warm, and easy to enjoy all corners of this rental's interior. We had a group of 8, 6 of whom were couples, and there was never a moment when it felt crowded inside. On top of the interior feeling quite comfortable from a perspective of layout and cleanliness the lighting and signage was exceptional. Everything is labeled. On top of that most of the general area lighting is on motion sensors. There was never any fumbling for light switches or which drawer or cabinet the item we wanted was behind. It is clear the host has gone through a great deal of thought and effort to make this property especially easy for visitors to use. And finally there's the backyard. I don't want to oversell it but for once I think the real life experience exceeds what the photos portray. It is clear that both the landscape architect and the contractor who produced this decking made exceptional effort to maintain every inch of natural space possible while creating an expansive, comfortable deck area for us to truly chill out in. I would rent here again just to spend more time in the backyard. 10/10 Amazing experience

We had an amazing time at Harry’s estate. The property was more grand in person than it looked in pictures. There was every amenity that we could imagine and more. Harry was very easy to get in touch with and responded promptly when we had questions. The gifts and thoughtfulness went well beyond what we expected. This was our best experience with VRBO yet. We had a wonderful time during the long President’s Day weekend at the Wine Country Redwood Estate. This place is nothing short of incredible. It’s very large with several nice spaces for friends and family to stretch out and enjoy the nice accommodations. The house is clean and Harry the owner has everything marked clearly. He has thought of everything, so you really do not need to bring anything with you. Harry made a point to ask us the type of wine and beer we liked, and then had a very nice welcome package for us on arrival. A few bottles of wine, 2 six packs of beer and an excellent charcuterie board with high end cheese, meat and crackers. It rained most of the time we were there so we could not enjoy the yard and deck, but we could tell the outside areas were well maintained. Harry was always on the ball with communications, and you can tell he really cares about your visit. The location is great, it seems we were never more than 30 minutes from any place we wanted to go in Sonoma and Calistoga. We cannot recommend this property and owner highly enough, you will definitely not be disappointed. If we ever make it back to wine country we will try to stay here.

The house was amazing for our office team retreat and provided plenty of space for us to hang out and chat both inside and out. There were plenty of rooms, beds, and bathrooms and the kitchen was just enough for us to cook all of the group meals needed. Harry was amazing with giving us the property details ahead of time and was an amazing host throughout our stay. The outside deck area was amazing to enjoy the nice weather on and all of the trees made it feel like we were secluded away in the mountains but with the convenience of being relatively close to groceries and stores.

We were there for my birthday weekend/girls weekend, there was 8 of us, there was more than enough room for everyone to be comfortable in their own bed (2 ladies shared a King). The house and property is absolutely gorgeous, the host has about every amenity you would want from a charcuterie, snack tray with wine and beer, as well as coffee and creamer. There was shampoo, conditioner, and body wash in the bathrooms. We got to enjoy the Jacuzzi both nights and one night around the fire pit, but we wish we had the whole two days just at the property because that would’ve been amazing but we had tours scheduled so we were not there during the day. We will definitely stay there again in the future, and just have our food and wine at the property to enjoy it. Our host was very accommodating, and we loved everything, thank you so much.

It is in a residential area, with neighbors who apparently object to noise that isn’t of their own making. But moving inside to spacious living room and game room is a great alternative. Do not rent if you are planning on utilizing the backyard of this property at ANY time during your stay!! The neighbors are very rude and offensive to the guests. The neighbors do not tolerate short term rental at all. At 5pm in the evening the neighbor to the left had a problem with a group of 8 sitting outside and having a conversation. She came through the fence and started yelling out expletives. She then proceeded to turn on loud music facing where we were seated hoping to get us to move inside. Soon after she turned on her garden hose and proceeded to spray us intentionally with water. This went on for an hour or so. When I informed the owner of the property, he was not at all sympathetic to what we had gone through. He directed me the the house rules that were inside the home. These harsh rules were NEVER communicated to me at anytime during my reservation process and were not posted on VRBO. “Out door music is not allowed. We recommend earphones should you wish to listen to music on the property”. Or that “Without anything other than very very soft talking”. If I knew these rules, I would never have rented this place. The house rules on VRBO does not reflect the one page rules that I was directed to after checking in. Our time at the property was very stressful and we did not enjoy our stay as we had intended. We paid good money for our stay and were treated like delinquents with multiple neighbors peeping through to fence to either yell vulgar

The property is wonderful! Big house with many different living spaces which allowed all of us to have time together and also time apart or in smaller groups. We did not leave the house a ton but had access to close by grocery stores etc. (whole foods, safeway). It is obvious that one of the neighbors is not pleased that the house is a VRBO as they have signs up proclaiming "Houses not hotels" facing the property but we had no issue with nieghbors as we followed the directed quiet hours. Outdoor space lovely and well managed! No complaints whatsoever!

This place is cozy and peaceful and Harry was the ultimate host, keeping in contact with me and having a welcome arrangement for us upon arrival.
