About this chalet rental
Enjoy the peaceful serenity of Loon Lake from your deck. The views will soothe your soul. We have 2 kayaks available and a canoe (until November) if you wish to enjoy the lake and the beautiful fall colors of the changing leaves surrounding the lake. Our home is less than 23 minutes from Gore Mountain and 30 minutes from Lake George. The snowmobile trail system can be accessed right from our door! Hike nearby Stewart Mountain, or venture into the town of Chestertown and visit the many shops and the famous Ice Cream Parlor which serves up the most delicious breakfast and lunches and of course, yummy ice cream! This area is well known for its excellent trout fishing nearby on the Schroon and Hudson Rivers . When the lake freezes, snowshoeing on the lake is amazing.
This pristine custom home boasts 2 living rooms, 3 bedrooms, 3 baths, a bar/ hot tub room, fully equipped kitchen with new appliances, large dining room and deck off the master suite and the main living area. It is well suited to two families.
The ground floor has a living room with a futon. This room can also accommodate two cots which are available. There is a bedroom with 2 bunk beds each with a full size bottom bunk and single top bunk. The single top bunks have limited sitting up height. Suitable for children only. The bathroom has a walk in shower.
Main floor has a living room with gorgeous lake views, wrap around deck, pull out sleeper sofa, large dining room, bedroom with a queen bed, bath with shower and kitchen with new appliances. This floor has a room with a bar and a Jacuzzi that can accommodate 6 people. ( available Sept 15-May 23) . Windows surrounding the hot tub makes you feel like you are part of the outside beauty.
Top floor has a bedroom with queen bed and en-suite bathroom .French doors leads to a private deck.
WiFi and streaming television are available free of charge.
Full size washer and dryer are available for your convenience. Bring your own sheets, towels. We can provide these items for a fee. Just ask!

This is the second time we stayed here amd once again, we were completely happy with all the house and area had to offer. DyAnn is easy to reach and makes sure all the guests needs are met. We look forward to going back!

If you are looking for a beautiful home in the Adirondacks look no further than DyAnn's place! The home is exceptional, very clean, has everything that you need for your stay, and the view of the lake is amazing! DyAnn our host was very responsive and helpful. I would highly recommend this home for your visit to the Adirondacks. The only down side is we didn't stay longer. We cant wait to come back. Thanks DyAnn!

Our stay was wonderful. Clean and equipped with everything we needed . Close to the mountain and other great places to visit . This was our second time here and will be back again .

We love the Gore mountains and visit every year ,
We saw the house listed and the 5 star reviews so we got exited .
Children friendly they said ,
Sparkling clean they said ,
Fast responding and responsible owners .
So we reserved ,
Once we got in there was a strange odor but could not figure out where it was coming from ,
We got in and had to wash all utensils as they were dusted and far from clean .
I went in the fridge to arrange our food two of the shelfs where cracked and fell off in my hands .
My daughter brought to my attention that they tried to put the tv on but the tv remote was not working .
We had our sheets with us but when we saw the condition of the pillows we had to cover them twice and yes we where not prepared so we used some of the owners sheets they where folded on a closet .
After 2 days we found out that the strange odor was gas and whoever had done the cleaning had turned the gas switch on opposite and although it said off there was still an ongoing leak .
We made our best to make everything work .
And didn't intend to complain as we all know things happen and we all try the best we can with what we have .
And never intended to ask for our damage protection deposit back .
Today we got a message with a list of all of the above and more were our doing and the house was left in above average disarray.
We took away all waist (at our own expenses , as the waist location was closed on Wednesday ).
no spilling ,
no rotten foods ,
no dirty dishes left behind .
Thank you but no thank you!!
