Garden Suite at the Whitaker Mansion - STVR 02009

The location was great and the price was good. The upstair tenants were very noisy. It sounded like they were running around upstairs and moving furniture around too. I must say the place could have been cleaner too. I was excited to see the washer and dryer but they weren’t hooked up. WHY HAVE THEM IF THEY DON’T WORK.

Loved the location in historic Savannah, right across the street from Forsyth Park. Charming gated entrance with front door and back door patios. The interior was historically correct, very charming and comfortable. The location of the maison was quiet compared to the area closer to the river front.

Located across from beautiful Forsyth Park on Whitaker Street, this residence is a great VRBO property. It is quiet, close to restaurants, coffee shops, and shopping. We enjoyed our stay here.

The location is ideal and the property itself is nice, which I appreciated. However, there were a couple of significant issues that impacted my stay.The listing states that parking is “conveniently located right around the corner on Huntingdon Street,” which was misleading. When I arrived in the afternoon, there was no parking available in that area, and it took me about 45 minutes of driving around to finally find a spot—I ultimately lucked out when someone pulled out of a space. This is especially difficult when traveling with luggage, and the host suggested I turn on my emergency flashers and unload on the main street, which felt stressful and not very safe.Additionally, the cleanliness needs BIG attention. The home was dusty and dirty throughout, including noticeable dust on the lampshades and very dirty baseboards. Areas like behind the nightstand where I plugged my phone in were especially unclean, which made the space feel poorly maintained. The shower setup was also awkward. There are three shower heads, but the water pressure is split between them, so none of them provide adequate pressure, making it less functional than it appears.There was also a lot of noise from above—constant walking and movement that was quite loud and woke me up each morning, which was frustrating.While the location and overall setup have potential, the parking difficulties, cleanliness concerns, noise issues, and shower setup would prevent me from staying here again.
