Excellent séjour dans ce nid d’amour coquet, d’une propreté irréprochable fait de plein de petits détails très attentionnés, absolument rien n’est oublié ! Un très grand merci à Bénita qui a vraiment pensé à tout pour ses vacanciers : félicitations et encore merci ! Nous avons passé un très agréable moment et recommandons vivement cette adresse !

Extremely well equipped, everything had been thorough of for a wonderful stay. It was beautifully decorated, and excellent throughout.

We could not find anything to fault.

De locatie was perfect: op loopafstand van het dorpje met een goeie bakker, een grote supermarkt, leuke restaurantjes. Het huisje is echt van alle gemakken voorzien en aan alles is gedacht, zelfs een oplader bij het bed, badhanddoeken, badjassen en heerlijke ligstoelen in de prachtige tuin onder de appelboom. De keuken was helemaal compleet, we hebben echt niks gemist. En in de koelkast stond van allerlei locale lekkernijen voor ons klaar en zelfs was er koffie, thee en de nodige basisvoorraad voor in de keuken. De gastvrijheid van Benita en Jean is top! Benita verwelkomde ons bij aankomst heel hartelijk en gaf ons een uitgebreide rondleiding. We voelden ons meteen heel erg thuis en ook de tips van Benita voor leuke plekjes en restaurantjes waren zeer welkom. We hebben echt genoten!

Voor lange mensen zoals wij kan het boven op de badkamer wat krap zijn en uitkijken dat je je hoofd niet stoot bij de trap naar boven. Maar dit vonden wij totaal geen probleem want alles was verder zo perfect dat dit ons niet stoorde.

Spotlessly clean, recently renovated with beautiful decor, lovely bed & bedding. Great shower, good water pressure & plenty of hot water. Spacious accomodation with fantastic facilities such as a utility room with washer & dryer. Fully equipped kitchen with full oven, hob & dishwasher, also had 2 coffee machines & a plethora of crockery & utensils. Relaxing lounge area with great big sliding doors looking into the garden. We saw a young red squirrel on our first day there & a red deer just before we left. Large garden which, although it was private, you shared with the hosts. Access across the road to a more private riverside terrace, which we particularly liked, was wonderful to just listen to the babbling water & watch the water vole come & go to its nearby den. Five minute walk into the town where there are many shops, cafes etc. Open market there twice a week & an interesting terraced walk which gives far reaching views. Plenty of local walks & lots of lovely properties in this beautiful area. Benita & Alain are wonderful, friendly & charming hosts that were very accommodating & I got the impression they would happily engage with their guests if this is what you wanted. We prefer our own space & our host gave us this & just checked in with us a couple of times to see if we needed anything. Generous welcome gifts left for us which we really appreciated & very much enjoyed. One was a regional apple jam that was so delicious we found it in the nearby supermarket & bought 2 more jars. We would never had known about it had it not been kindly left for us. I want to mention a few of the many small touches that really do make a difference. Supplies of cleaning products, even washing detergent, were all there in abundance. Extra towels, coffee pods & filters for the coffee machines, oils & spices for cooking.

Road noise. Beautiful property but right on a main road with many passing tractors & hay lorries. Couldn't leave windows open overnight as the road noise came right into the bedroom. We found shutting the windows & using the fan on low overnight was helpful. Traffic noise less noticable by the river terrace but still there. Not a detatched property. Adjoining neighbour was renovating the room that links the properties for a couple of days when we were there. Sanding & drilling reverberated through the property. Construction noise. The house opposite had just started having a new roof done when we arrived so that went on for days. Low hanging lampshade over dining table. We kept bumping our head on this everytime we stood up, so we rearranged the table & seating to try & avoid this. However, it was still in the way when approaching the table or walking past it. Perhaps needs raising up or change for ceiling lights.
