We loved pueblo Casares and this house

The location was amazing, and the house was too. The hosts were responsive, and the place was cozy and clean and very charming. The outdoor space was great too! I would definitely stay here again!

The third bedroom with single bed didn't have an air conditioner, so my daughter was hot. We couldn't leave the window open at night for her because it was festival weekend so the music is loud and goes on all night and she is allergic to bugs.

It was so beautiful unique and traditional. The views were out of this world, and you had a view wherever you were in the house. I would define come back! Extremely helpful and friendly hosts who suggested local activities and helped source local taxis.

A little corner of heaven

Didn’t think it was possible but the house was even more beautiful than pictured, spacious and spotlessly clean. Our host Violeta couldn’t have been more welcoming. The setting is fabulous with absolutely stunning views over the charming village of Casares and even as far as the Rock of Gibraltar and Tangier mountains beyond. It was so peaceful being outside in the evenings in the lovely seating area or reading by the window in the mornings. The kids enjoyed chilling out in the very comfortable living area. We were able to use the barbecue which was really enjoyable and went to local restaurants just 5 or 10 minutes walk away. The path down to to the village is steep so flat shoes would be recommended. Free parking close by (car is a must if wanting to get about to the coast or further afield). We had the great pleasure of staying for a week and were so disappointed to leave!

A pretty, comfortable house with spectacular views.

The house is in a pretty white village and has spectacular views from every window. It is comfortable, spacious and clean. An easy walk down to the square for coffee or lunch. The owner is incredibly friendly and kept in touch whilst being unobtrusive.

We will always cherish the memories of this special place!

Staying here was a truly enchanting experience! The town of Casares was gorgeous, and the views from the house are spectacular in every direction: the town, the castle, mountains, with the Rock of Gibraltar and the mountains of Africa in the distance (on a clear day). It really felt magical the entire stay. Kitchen was well-equipped. My kids were so excited to hang the laundry out the window and spent hours watching the antics of the local cats from their lookout. Also, it was so quick to pop down to the main square with a handful of restaurants and grocery stores, and experience the friendly local vibe.

The only problem we had was that it was too windy to enjoy the patio when we stayed, but with the house being so beautiful inside and with the amazing windows and views we really didn’t suffer!

Perfect house with an amazing view.

Cosy and homely property. Beautifully furnished with quirky retro touches. Really well equipped kitchen. Huge bath with plenty of hot water. Stunning views of Casares and the countryside beyond from massive windows. Easy free parking very close by. Felt really at home and could have stayed for much longer. Violeta was a great host, she went out of her way to accommodate an early check in and kept in touch to make sure we were happy with everything. Would happily recommend and return.

Amazing stay in a mountain chalet

We had a great time at the accommodation, there is plenty of space, fantastic views on the mountains and the village and all the comfort you need with a fully equipped kitchen with marble worktops (the complementary bottle of wine was appreciated), generous bathroom, comfortable beds, large sofa, big dining table etc. We used the open chimney on both evenings which was a great experience and provided nice heat and a cozy atmosphere. Communication with the host was good and the house was easy to find. Free public parking is available only 1 minute walk from the property. Conveniently, a very good restaurant is only 5 minutes walking distance away and the village has a small supermarket with fresh bread.

Beautifully decorated house with views to die for .

Great location to walk to restaurants and the views were stunning, beautifully decorated with attention to detail . Every room was lovely. Lovely little seating area outside for morning coffee/ lunch/ evening drinks and BBQ.

Having no cupboard items at all due to Covid ( not even salt and pepper ) and we personally don’t like white light bulbs we prefer the softer warmer light which create a more ambient atmosphere whilst still providing plenty of light but luckily there were plenty of candles to light instead of using the electric lights downstairs.

Exceptionally beautiful and serene home

The house is exceptional - if you want to have an exceptionally beautiful and peaceful setting in a comfortable and elegant home then this is the place for you. Every room has an exceptional view. Our favourite part of the house was the table outside until the grapevine - it was serene and the views were just incredible. People would walk by and come talk to us asking about the house and give compliments or ask to take photos. The balconies are beautiful and the windows open up completely. The ac was excellent and there is a good breeze. It is obvious that this was a home that was well looked after and filled with high quality items - the decorations are gorgeous. The place actually looks even nicer in person. Location is excellent (the views, the castle, the town) for hiking and also driving to the beach (18min). Would definitely come again!

Everything - the fabulous location, the decor inside (of exquisite taste, rural-chic and making you wish you could move there at least for a week!), the vistas from ALL the windows - on a clear day you can see Gibraltar and the coast of Africa, and some of the most spectacular sunsets. The proximity of Casares to the beach (even though perched like a vulture on the top of the mountain) make it ideal for spending a few days of blissful relaxation.

Ik kom zo graag terug naar deze plek in het prachtige Casares, (verliefd)

De communicatie was perfect! Wat een prachtig zicht vanuit verschillende plekken van het huis<3. Op een 4 tal minuten wandelen naar het kleine, gezellige centrum waar je supermarkt, bar of restaurant kan vinden. Ik reisde samen met iemand die niet goed te been was en we vroegen aan de man die met zijn golf karretje rondreed of hij mijn vriendin vanuit het centrum naar ons huis wou brengen, dit was een hele grote luxe en maakte het voor haar heel comfortabel.

Mooie locatie, prachtig uitzicht over het dorp. Wellicht één van de mooiste plekken van Casares. Fijn om drie ruime slaapkamers te hebben. Goede informatie over het parkeren en de route naar het huis. Vriendelijk contact met de eigenaar via de app. Comfortabele bedden, voldoende handdoeken en fijn buitenzitje.

Niet alles was even schoon of comfortabel. In de keuken misten bijvoorbeeld schone (nieuwe) doekjes, een kleine snijplank, een goed mes, sapglazen, passende koffiecups voor de machine. Het huis had veel (onnodige) accessoires, misschien een kwestie van smaak, maar het maakt het schoonmaken niet handig. Het dorp zelf is op het eerste gezicht mooi, maar veel huizen zijn niet goed onderhouden en veel dorpsbewoners zijn bijzonder. We verbleven er twee nachten, eentje was voldoende geweest.
