HOTEL LOTUS

We spent two nights here to take a rest day during our Camino walk. The room was quite stylish (perhaps too much so). There were a couple of issues but we would still stay here again.

We paid for a room with a balcony and our room did have a balcony but it was very very small. Also at first we thought the room didn't have a private bathroom, even though that is what we paid for, but after my wife used the shared bathroom to take a shower we discovered that our room did in fact have its own bathroom, it was just behind a sliding panel that we though was just a wall decoration. 🤣 The area below our balcony was a dog run for two german shepherds. They barked a little but it wasn't a disturbance to us.

Our room was really nice, comfortable, well decorated and had everything we needed. The bathroom was great, the shower had a good water pressure. And the balcony, that was a great bonus. Our balcony was overlooking a creek and historic bridge. The chairs on the balcony were very comfortable. Special kudos to the lady at the front desk who was also attending to breakfast, she was so nice and helpful, we enjoyed chatting with her. The corridors in the hotel were bright and spacious. At night, it was quiet and we found the beds comfortable. Altogether a great hotel.

No elevator, but seems to be the case in most of the hotels in that region. However our suitcase, that was transported from hotel to hotel by a luggage service, was brought by the staff to the floor we had our room, so no problem at all.

Staff Isabella great. Nice decor in room. Superficially looked nice. Close to Camino route.

Room 102 doesn’t require a night light as both the street lamp is at bed level and there are no blackout curtains. Us 66 yr olds would have loved to have the long black hair our heads instead walking over it with our feet. Street side rooms could be offered ear plugs as the non functioning air conditioner required the windows to be open.
