CHALET DILIJAN VILLAS

The property corresponds to its description. Everything was clean and tidy. The views were stunning, the Christmas decorations were thoroughly picked, and the staff was super-helpful. The river at the side was creating more ambiance.

The kitchen did not have a convenient lightning system for cooking. And the villa had a capacity of 12 people while having only 2 bathrooms, which made us queue for the bathroom: this was inconvenient.

Where to begin? We stayed in the villa and absolutely LOVED the whole experience. The villa was perfect for our family reunion: spacious, impeccably clean, with a small kitchen, a beautiful lounge room with a fireplace. It was warm and cozy in the whole villa, even the floors were heated and it felt really nice in the evenings. But it is the staff, mainly the hotel manager, who made our stay so enjoyable. Extremely professional yet so welcoming and helpful that it felt as if we were at home. The food was absolutely delicious and by far one of the the best we tried in Armenia. The menu is short and offers Armenian traditional cuisine, yet every dish on the menu is delicious. Our toddlers loved spending mornings running with the ball, riding scooters provided by the hotel, making friends with a local turtle and imaginary fishing in the creek.

If you want to take a stroll outside, the location doesn’t really allow it at the moment with all the roadwork currently in place (we stayed end of Sept 2022). Simply be prepared to grab a taxi which is very easy to find via a local app and is only a couple of dollars to the town center.

The kitchen was not entirely functional, the main disadvantage is that like all of Armenia, the surrounding area is full of abandoned houses.
