Location was very good. 7-10min walk to Grand Batam Mall, A2 Food Court, 15min walk to Nagoya Food Court. Easy access to cheap eateries and old shops in the Penuin area. Mineral water is provided although you have to ask for it from the second night onwards.
The shower hot water was not warm enough. Smelly room, but staff came to spray and sanitise once we highlighted this.

Location is perfect, 6 mins walk to Grand Batam Mall and 4 mins walk to the biggest Chinese Temple in Batam. A lot of street food around the place such as durian stall, traditional Indo cuisine and hawker centers.
Although not every staff can speak English, every one of them is very helpful and cooperative.
Facility is very old, WiFi is extremely poor, probably the worst one I have ever experienced in my life (I have travelled to 56 countries so far), so make sure you bought a local SIM card with plenty of data once you reach Batam ferry centers.
