Laconian Collection #Mavrovouni By the Sea#

Very spacious apartment ideal for families and large groups as it has 3 double bedrooms. Very welcoming and instantly felt at home. Great location with a few meters walk to the beach and tavernas where we spent most of our time. Hosts were great at responding and giving recommendations, also the little touch of leaving us loads of welcome snacks, chocolates, treats and drinks, which we found very welcoming. Although the property is old, it is well maintained and equipped nonetheless, which gives it a great character. Best part was the spacious balcony with the perfect view, where we spent and enjoyed most of our evenings.

Could be a little tricky to find the property at first, but the drive from Gythio was easy. First floor apartment so if you have elderlies or heavy luggage, could be tricky to walk up from the parking spot which is 2 floors down and at the end of the property. Alternative spot is to the front which is closer and good for loading or offloading your car.

Mavrovouni is simply a beautiful and clean beach. The house was located just back from the seafront and within walking distance to a minimarket and cafe. The house was spotless and spacious, outfitted with everything we needed and more. Our hosts were genial and thoughtful; they even had purchased a few groceries for us. We really enjoyed sitting on the front porch, which has a partial view of the ocean.
