Wander one-quarter mile off the rural county road on the narrow lane through the trees. Suddenly the eye expands to include the broad river valley and wooded hills. Sitting here atop the bluff is a 3-bedroom cottage with the all creature comforts.
The setting high above the Gasconade River in south central Missouri attracts nature lovers and outdoor enthusiasts. Spectacular vistas of the river and valley are offered from the cottage. There are three bedrooms, large kitchen, laundry, streaming TV options, one bathroom, and an outside deck overlooking the valley. Here is a wonderful escape from city life for a family, a couple, or a few friends.
Hike the ancient trail to the river where you will find fishing, swimming, and exploring. Hike the 150 acres or roam the Natural area close by. Bring your camera and a pair of rough shoes. Or simply relax in the hammock or relax by the outside fire on peaceful evenings. Children can splash in the creek. Pets are permitted. Wildlife abounds.
Memories will be made here. Bring your family, your sweetheart, or just yourself. Everyone is welcome here!

This is truly the perfect place to unplug & reset. It is absolutely beautiful! The seclusion/privacy is fantastic! Even our little dogs had the best time. The nearby (1 mile)Clifty creek area is amazing! We walked the regular hiking trails at the preserve & then walked upstream from the road. The scenery is breathtaking & we even got to watch a little otter family play. The host is wonderful! The water heater elements went out on our 2nd day & she was able to quickly get a plumber out while we were out hiking. This cabin was very well stocked. We cooked most of our meals there. It is about 20-25 minutes to the nearest grocery store. I made good use of the hammock that is there as well. There are several low water crossings for anyone that might be in a low profile car. We have a sport SUV & didn’t have any difficulty with the roads. I wish we lived closer. I would definitely be a regular visitor. Sadly it’s a good 12 hour drive for us as we live in West Texas. This property is truly a treasure!

The cabin was clean and stocked with plenty of games, blankets, and anything you could need. The beds were very comfortable. The view is stunning. We will be coming back in the fall, just for the view.

It is a beautiful property, we had a great time. Secluded and very peaceful. Despite the summer heat, the AC works great even though we spent the majority of the weekend outside enjoying the property and time on the river.Kathy was a great help directing us to the property and was available if we needed any help, but thankfully the house is so well equipped that we really didn't need any. We are looking forward to coming back, hopefully soon.
