About this cabin rental
This cabin is nestled by the bridge across the river from Pittsburgh, Iowa, just a few miles west of Keosauqua on a paved road. Accommodations not only include the cabin, but also 1.5 acres of flat, riverfront land to play, relax and enjoy nature. A screened porch with seating overlooks the Des Moines river. The river view from this cabin is amazing.
The main/master bedroom has a full-sized bed, while the remaining loft area is furnished with two full-sized beds, comfortable for sleeping six people. The cozy living room is furnished with a love seat and TV/DVD player and DISH Network! The kitchen is equipped with a full refrigerator and stove and a full table/benches for plenty of seating. Guests can enjoy an afternoon of fishing, sitting by the fire pit, or just relaxing while the sun goes down over the river.
The amazing wildlife along the river is absolutely beautiful. If you enjoy the outdoors, hunting, fishing and nature, this is the cabin for you!
Note: cell phone reception is spotting at the cabin, but better in town. There IS WiFi and DISH Network. You can unwind and relax with some amenities. Also the driveway is steeper. During winter months all-wheel drive or 4-wheel drive is best!

We had a great stay at this river cabin in Keosauqua! The location was private and peaceful, making it the perfect place to relax and spend time with a group of friends. The cabin was clean, comfortable, and well stocked with everything we needed, including pots and pans, blankets, towels, a full kitchen, air conditioning, and plenty of fans to keep the air circulating. We especially enjoyed the screened-in porch, the large dining table where everyone could gather, and the Blackstone grill, which made cooking for the group easy and fun.The host was friendly, responsive, and made both check-in and check-out incredibly easy. We also really appreciated how accommodating they were, which made our stay even more enjoyable.Overall, we were very happy with our stay and would definitely recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a quiet, relaxing getaway. It had everything we needed for a comfortable weekend, and we'd happily stay here again.

This cabin was perfect for a laid back weekend. The beds are comfortable, the screened-in porch is spacious, and this is the cleanest rental I’ve ever stayed in.I only have a couple of complaints. I understand not investing a lot of money on cookware for a rental property, but there wasn’t a single pan that I would use for cooking. The other is that the view of the river is blocked by overgrown brush. The lot is mowed, and I’m not suggesting cutting down trees. But knocking down the brush between the trees would allow a much better view.

We had never rented a vrbo before, but this property was great for us. We had our 3 grandkids with us on vacation. They enjoyed staying in the loft and playing outdoors. We were in the area for a family reunion, last year we had to stay 20 miles away as that was the closest hotel we could get for 5 people. This cabin in 5 minutes away from the family reunion, and the town of Keosauqua, Iowa, and the back entrance to the state park.Kellie, the host has been awesome to text back and forth with, I had a question about one of the signs instructions and she wrote back right away. We hope to rent again someday for the ease of use, great location, nice to have a cabin with a full kitchen, screened in back porch, large dining table, 2 bedrooms (2) beds in the loft and 1 downstairs, and Everton else. We have had a wonderful relaxing two nights 3 days here. Kellie is an awesome host we thank her for the use of her cabin and the cost was very reasonable.
