Residence Novak Bohinj

Modern, spacious top floor apartment (Triglav) with large decking looking out to the lake. Really well equipped kitchen and although we ate out a bit it was easy to self cater too. Easy 5 minute walk to the lake, and 2 minute walk to a mini supermarket and an excellent restaurant (Gostilna Mihovc) where we ate three times as it was so good! Beautiful walks from the door, and it was worth getting up early to run round the lake before it got too busy and hot.

As others mentioned there is no air conditioning but as long as you open windows in the late evening to let cooler air through overnight it was manageable.

A fantastic property in a lovely quiet location within Stara Fuzina, quiet location with easy access to the village amenities or a short pretty walk down the meadow to the lake. The balcony is massive and the view is breathtaking! The photo doesn’t really do it justice. The accommodation is lovely, very modern and clean, hosts are nice and accommodating.

There is nothing not to like!

The Lake Bohinj area is incredibly beautiful and not overcrowded even in a July heatwave. The lake itself is fabulous for swimming kayaking paddle boarding etc. The whole north side is undeveloped with just a footpath and loads of secluded spots to access the water. We hired a kayak and spent a whole easy day on the water exploring. We also got the Vogel cable car and went on a higher mountain hike with amazing scenery, flower meadows etc At the Residence we stayed in the middle of the 3 apartments - this is a lovely modern high-spec place designed for couples. The balcony is a standout feature - very spacious with great design and views. The bathroom is also very nice and spacious. In the middle of summer we didn’t use the sauna! It’s a five minute walk through lush fields to the lakeshore. A ten minute walk down to the bridge where there are lots of cafes and shops. Thank you for a lovely stay!

The Residence doesn’t have air conditioning - but it does have electronic shutters on most windows and doors, allowing you to keep the inside space cooler during the day. I should note that it was exceptionally hot when we stayed however - 35+ degrees

Absolutely gorgeous property. It has everything for a comfy stay. There’s a fireplace, beautiful view, gorgeous walk in shower/ sauna. There’s kitchen with an air fryer, hob and dishwasher. We went to Lidl on the drive over from Ljubljana and cooked most of our meals. There are places to eat and drink nearby but it saved us a lot of money. You can do the Mostnica waterfall walk from the doorstep and it’s only a short walk down to the lake. It rained one day but it was actually really lovely to chill in the apartment and play the provided board games together. There was also a little goodie box of treats on arrival such as beers. There is a convenience shop a four minute walk away. The neighbours have the cutest dog and cat that are always outside too.

The driveway is very narrow which can cause anxiety with a hire car.
