Cesis city apartment

The apartment was very clean, location is perfect just at the entrance of Cesis Old town and near the big Castle park. It looks exactly like shown in pictures and is so cozy. We really liked the vibe, will definitely stay again here when back in Cesis.

Bija pieejams viss nepieciešamais un dzīvoklis bija ļoti tīra un mājīgs. Bērniem bija pieejamas spēles, rotaļlietas un grāmatas, un pat bērnu uzliktnis podam.

Vienīgais mīnuss mums bija, ka jākāpj uz trešo stāvu pa stāvām un šaurām kāpnēm. Bet ātri pieradām :)

Very good location. A lot of toys for the kids.

Extra bed wasn’t comfortable. Felt a bit cold.

The property was clean and well maintained, great location within walking distance of Cēsis old town. The host was easy to reach and responded quickly to our questions. We also appreciated the free parking in the closed yard. And the price was nice.

There are a few details that were either missing or not entirely accurate in the property description. They are not necessarily negative on their own, but they are important for some guests (like us) to know in advance before deciding if this place is the right fit: - The property is located on the third floor and access to it leads through very narrow and extremely steep stairs. This makes the property unsuitable for families with small children who need to be carried, as well as for elderly guests. - Although the property description states it is a 2 room apartment (one bedroom and one living room), it is actually one large room with sleeping and living areas. Which probably might be ok for most people but for us with an infant— it was a challenge because we could not put the baby to sleep in a separate room. - Also, for travelers with smaller kids it is important to know that the heating of the apartment is done by a pellet boiler located inside the apartment. And as we found out the glass window of the boiler’s door becomes extremely hot when operating, which can be dangerous for small children. You constantly need to watch out that your kids wouldn’t touch it and burn themselves. This, of course, is only relevant during the colder months. - And the heating was a bit tricky thing itself. Even though we could set a preferred temperature, it didn’t feel like it was working properly. It was either a bit too cold or became too hot if you set up the temperature higher. So, it was really hard to get a comfortable sleeping temperature during the night. - This apartment is listed as suitable for up to 4 adults, but I don’t think it can accommodate them. There is one double bed for two people and a pull-out sofa that fits one adult, and the sofa was not very comfortable either. - One smaller inconvenience to mention was a shower area which was really small lacking some hooks where to hang clothes when going to shower. Some hangers would be nice.
