LOCATION & VIEWS: Located in the Lake Mirage Gated Community, Rancho Mirage, CA. This lakefront property is on a 13-acre lake system and sits on the largest portion of the lakes with a sweeping 180-degree view with spectacular sunsets to the left as the sun dips behind the 11,000-foot San Jacinto Mountain right before your eyes. To your right are sunrises that give a warm glow to the master bedroom, living room & kitchen.
PROXIMITY TO FUN & MALLS: The location of Lake Mirage is perfect. It is five minutes from the famous El Paseo shopping & dining street which has boutique shops, small cafés, and evening entertainment at Tommy Bahama Restaurant & Mastros Steakhouse, among ten others. Just about any chain store is located in one of the small malls still only 5-10 minutes away, including a Costco.
FROM THE DOCK: Its small private dock is a favorite to watch sunsets from, sip cocktails or share wine, have lunch or dinner, and even launch one of the boats or kayaks to adventure off to other portions of the lake under bridges that span narrow connecting canals. For those who like to fish, catch & release will land you large bass, carp and catfish two feet long.
JUST ENOUGH SUN: The lakefront & dock face northwest which gets enough sun in winter while avoiding the blazing sun from May-September. The back courtyard facing south is a lush & cozy place to read a book under palm trees rustling in the breeze above or sunbathe in privacy.
LAKESIDE PATIO & SPA: With one of the largest patios on the lake, enjoy a dining table for six with BBQ just a few feet away. Enjoy grilling while gazing at the lake and sunsets. Relax with the seating set under the grapefruit tree which is perfect for afternoon entertaining or reading. In the center of the patio is a new spa with simple controls for your favorite temperature. Think of that calm or bubbling spa first thing in the morning or before heading to bed.
INTERIOR DÉCOR & KITCHEN: The classic Mexican tile floors pair with the dark beautiful wood tables throughout leaning toward hacienda, and the master bedroom Spanish style bed itself makes you feel like a king or queen. All beds are Signature Beverly Hills Hotel mattresses for total comfort. The kitchen appliances are up to date and the classic 80’s. countertop tiles, cupboards, drawers have everything you’d have in your own home and for many guests, even more. Enjoy waking up to the light tinkling of the atrium fountain next to the kitchen if you wish (the fountain can be turned off and on), and gaze at the atrium tropical jungle in the middle of the desert. Many guests like to add their own favorite annuals here and there.
SLEEPING ARRANGEMENTS: Easily sleeps 8 with master king bed, queen room, and twin beds in third bedroom. Each bedroom includes its own bathroom and 6’x6’ walk in closet. The closets are large enough for a ‘Pack & Play’ which we supply or an inflatable mattress which we also supply and can be found in the garage.
LAKE MIRAGE ACTIVITIES: Clubhouse has a small gym that gets the job done. There are 10 tennis courts & 6 pickleball courts. We have paddles & balls for pickleball. Golfer? Practice your short game on the 3-hole chip & putt. Enjoy the dozens of walking pathways to and from the clubhouse lawn area. The clubhouse pool is a saltwater pool needing very little chlorine. The other 10 pools make it fun to try each one. Pool 6 is closest to the condo, and its view across the lake and of the mountains so strangely close its easy to feel like northern Italy or the Alps.
EQUIPMENT IN THE GARAGE: Many guests enjoy the full workbench for whatever needs they come up with and / or want to pursue. Everyone likes the beach cruiser bikes to tour over the Lake Mirage bridges and even ride to Starbucks or Alberstons just a quarter mile away. There are also toddler bikes and a scooter for kids. Helmets for all are in the racks along with bike pumps. Fishing at Lake Mirage is fun for both kids and adults so there are a few poles as well. Kids toy bins for both indoors and outdoors are well marked on the shelves. Lots of options for pool floaties for infants, toddlers kids and adults.
