West Beach House -Sea Views

Mary & Michael were wonderful hosts. The location is perfect—10 minute walk from train and only minutes from town center. Beautiful view! They were kind and allowed me to store luggage for a few hours while I enjoyed my last hours in Cobh. Mary provided excellent recommendations for food & pub!

Steps up to fourth floor but I was aware of that when I booked! The room and view was worth the steps!! I was pleased there was a small elevator to take luggage up part way.

Loved the location of this accommodation. Within walking distance of the train station, restaurants and bars. We were greeted by Mary who was so friendly. She gave us plenty of tips for things to do and where to eat. Our room was spacious with a fantastic view of the sea and a Cruise ship that was there the day we arrived. Mary left a basket of fresh, warm croissants with jam for us the next morning and we had access to a coffee machine. I would highly recommend West Beach House. Thank you Mary for your hospitality ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Mary and Michael were so very lovely! We only stayed one night but they were very accommodating of our request to hold bags while we explored on our check out day. The most amazing part of this stay was the location! The views were breathtaking and it truly was RIGHT ACROSS FROM THE WATERFRONT, in the beginning side of the heart of Cobh, and a 2 minute or less walk (on flat ground - which was nice in hilly Cobh) to the Titanic Center, a playground area right on the waterfront, restaurants, and all of the action. While it wasn't bad when the windiws were open (such a beautiful sea breeze), once the windows were closed, we heard nothing (and we were there on a public holiday weekend and cruise ship arrival day). It was a rainy and gray stay but the views were still lovely. I don't believe my photos did it justice when reviewing them but the might give you an idea of what you'll see on a beautiful day. We forgot to get a picture outside of the house as it was so rainy the day we arrived and the day we left. Each room (we booked two) had its own full bathroom and the beds were roomier and more comfy than they looked in the photographs. Although I thought I read each room did not have its own lock, that was untrue. Each room has its own lock and key. We had quite a bit of luggage and Mary helped us with every bit of it via her lift (elevator), though we had to carry it up one more flight of stairs after the lift (which is why I give it a 9 instead of 10). But, that was all explained so we knew what was to come before we arrived. While we were greeted warmly and both Mary and Michael were lovely, we were free to come and go as we pleased (which felt a little strange for my daughters and me to be in someone's home and not report to and spend time with them vs being used to staying in hotels or whole house rentals when we vacation without being around other family members.

As I said, the only problem was getting our 18 days' worth of luggage up that last flight of stairs but it was not nearly as daunting as it might have appeared.

The 62 steps to the 6th floor was a bit of a trek but the views were completely worth it
