Come enjoy this charming 5 bedroom 2 bathroom home on Caney Creek for a relaxing getaway in Sargent, Texas. This is a newly updated vintage home built in the 1950s. It sits on 0.7 acres of waterfront property with a spacious backyard, a large fishing dock with pier lights for night fishing, a boat dock where you can tie up your boat, a fish cleaning table, fire ring, grills, and a swing set and sand pit for the kids.
The property's address is 2426 CR 297. Caney Creek allows for easy access to the ICW, Mitchell’s Cut, the Gulf of Mexico, and East Matagorda Bay. The beach is just a 10-minute drive from the property. Public boat ramps are located on Caney Creek (1272 CR 201) and the ICW at Joey's Bait Shop (27314 FM-457).
The covered patio and oak trees provide plenty of shade and a breezy space to gather and relax outside. You can sit back and enjoy the view of the creek or set up games for the family in the vast back yard. The property also includes a charcoal barbeque pit and propane grill big enough to accommodate cooking for families.
This ground level home makes it easy for packing the luggage and coolers in and out without the hassle of stairs. The covered carport allows you to pull right up to the door for loading and unloading and provides shaded parking. Vehicle and boat trailer parking is plentiful.
The 5 bedrooms provide sleeping space for 8 adults plus up to 6 kids. Three downstairs bedrooms have 1 queen bed each and a set of twin bunk beds in the other. The upstairs dormitory has 6 twin beds and makes a perfect place for the kids to have their own space. A pack’n’play and high chair are available for your infant, too.
The open dining room seats up to 14 people. The kitchen is equipped with an oven, stove, microwave, toaster, can opener, blender, hand mixer, cookware, dishes, and coffee pot. On-site washer and dryer are also available. Central air keeps you cool all summer.
A playground with a walking path and workout circuit is located directly across the street, along with a basketball court. Shopping and groceries are conveniently located just around the corner.

We had an amazing little getaway for the family. I enjoyed my coffee out on the pier with the crisp morning air and listened to the seagulls sing. My kiddos loved fishing and crabbing from the pier. The Seamonkey Lodge had plenty of space and then some for our family of 5. Could have easily and comfortably fit another family or 2 . Thank you for sharing your home!

Wow just wow.. this place has great views.. awesome place. Enough beds for the whole family. The grandkids had a blast. The park across the street was beautiful and kids played a lot. Place was clean and we all loved it. Thank you again for a perfect spring break

Our extended family had an amazing stay at the Sea Monkey Lodge. The property was exactly as advertised, well kept, and clean on arrival. Highlights of the property include the upstairs bunk room for the kiddos, the back living room area, back porch, and the huge yard bordering on Caney Creek complete with dock for fishing. Awesome play set for the kiddos as well to keep them busy while the adults relax.Carrie was very nice and helpful with excellent communication. We would definitely stay again.
