Penthouse executive suite

The penthouse is well-designed, comfortable, and makes good use of space. Living room and bedroom open straight onto the large terrace and the front windows also have floor-to-ceiling doors so the space is bright and airy. Using the fan provided we kept cool and had fresh air – we never needed the air-conditioning, though it is excellent if you prefer it. It has very good bathroom and shower, comfortable bed and ample wardrobe and drawer space. The living room is wider than the photos show, plenty of space to curl up and watch Netfix TV, and the WiFi is excellent, fast and even worked on the terrace. The kitchen is neat and easy to use, a good fridge-freezer, adequate equipment for snacks and simple meals, and a traditional, stove-top espresso maker (thankfully not a horrible Nespresso wasting plastic). To help with food preparation we added a vegetable strainer, mixing bowl and vegetable peeler, hopefully useful to future guests. It was good to have refillable dispensers for shampoo, conditioner and washing-up liquid, rather than small plastic bottles. It would have been nice to have a few laundry capsules as the smallest quantity we could buy was in a large plastic box, which creates a lot of plastic use if every guest buys a box. The house is at the top of the village and recommends a car which you would need if unable to walk far or climb stairs. However, we don’t drive, are late 50s and frequently choose to stay off the beaten track. We had no issues going up and down to the village centre - there are stairs that make the way shorter than by road – and the square is worth a visit or two. There are short and long walking trails starting right outside the house. Juan was welcoming and helpful, easily available if we had a query, and booked a taxi for us when we left. We had an excellent stay and could happily have stayed longer than 9 days.

Bastante bien aunque el acceso era un poco complicado. Pueblo muy pintoresco aunque con muchas cuestas y muy pronunciadas. Por otro lado la cercanía con Marbella es de agradecer. En líneas generales a pesar de un par de detallitos, bastante bien.
