Dogwood Springs Lodgings

This place was much better than I ever could have expected. The value was great and they are definitely dog friendly. We met Bill and he is a fascinating person and has an amazing life story.

The only thing that I didn't like is my GPS kept cutting out as I was trying to find the location and there's really no signs or anything that tells you that you are there.

The beauty of this place is that it has obviously been a labor of love for many years to create a balance between the cultivated and the natural. Water features of ponds and falls, as well as the trail around a beautiful lake provide a sense of connection with nature. Potted plants abound full of color while ivy wildly crawls up the stone columns of the converted barn. Ivy where House Finches flourish. Bring your birding equipment because the variety of bird life is wonderful. The way everything flows on this property brings about a sense of peace and calm. There are free roaming dogs on the property that will serve as your guide and actually made our unsociable dog lighten up a bit.it was within minutes of where we needed to be. Could not have asked for a better stay…only that it was too short. We will be back! Thank you, Bill and Carlos for making our stay exceptional.

Not a thing.

The property was stunning. Walking and sitting around the pond was my favorite. There were lots of beautiful flowers and landscaping. The feedback site asks for photos and I had a couple that didn’t do this place justice as we took more videos and they couldn’t upload. Also enjoyed the white dog that came and hung out with me in the morning.

The only downside was Bill just had a knee replacement so we weren’t able to meet him and get a tour. There were a lot of good reviews about that. Hopefully next time.

Mr. Bill was wonderful. He gave our family a great tour of the property and was always available for anything we needed. Love that we were able to fish while there also. We had a great time!
