Fairfield Inn & Suites Van Canton Area

Convient location near a Canton wedding venue. Staff was nice in the hotel when we spoke with anyone and accommodating. Comfortable rooms with nice beds, nice shower. Appreciate the shampoo and such all provided. Definitely appreciate having our rooms next door to each other so thank you! The manager that was there when we arrived and left was great. Super nice! Beautiful lobby and rooms. A/C was already cooling our room down when we arrived. Very nice! Our room was very clean and a good size. I don't know if anyone else was staying there as we never heard any noise in the halls. Quite and peaceful. Plenty of plugs to charge up devices. A good stay even with the few issues we had.

Breakfast was not good. Except the coffee, that was fine. It was eggs, sausage and hashbrowns. All pretty disgusting. They looked fine but everything had a gross texture. I think it's just that way anymore. Hotel breakfasts aren't known for being great. Would have appreciated one gluten free cereal option. Chex is gf just so ya'll know. Also our room had a fire alarm with a bright flashing light. It was keeping us up flashing every minute so we had to cover it. The last thing is that I called ahead to ask for early check in and I felt I was kind of given the run around. I was told to call back at 7am and let them know to plan for our needs that day. Ok I'll call back in the morning.. calls back at 7am to ask... call back at 2pm. Huh? Why? We did get the early check in but why not just say yes on the phone? I only wanted to check in at 2pm rather than 3pm so we could get ready for a wedding at 4pm. I appreciate that they let us check in early but I would have preferred to have not worried about it as I was driving to the hotel. I had no idea if I was even going to be able to get ready for the wedding once we arrived. A little frustrating to be told yes just notify the morning staff the night before and then in the morning the staff tells me I don't know call back at 2pm. Girl I'm arriving at 2pm. How does that help me? Like I said they did accommodate our request but it would have been nice to have consistency.

The staff is always super friendly and helpful, the rooms are clean and comfortable, and breakfast has so many choices even my picky eater friend was pleased!

The pool was FREEZING!!! We specifically picked it for the indoor pool and it was unusable. It is not advertised as unheated, that should be disclosed on the booking site.
