About this house rental
Beautiful 4 Bedroom + sleeping loft with 2 sets of bunk beds -3 Bath and 2 living areas Lake front home in the North Georgia Mountains - Lake Chatuge - Hiawassee GA. The pristine beauty of this lake surrounded by the mountains is truly breath taking. We have a large covered back porch which is perfect for morning coffee and evening dinners.
We have 2 living areas. There is an additional lower level living/kitchen area so there’s plenty of room to spread out if needed. Master bedroom has king bed with 50” flat screen tv and french doors that access the covered porch - 2nd bedroom has queen bed with 40" flat screen tv and french doors that access the covered porch - 3rd bedroom has queen bed with 40” flat screen tv - 4th bedroom downstairs has king bed, 55” flat screens tv with attached bath and french doors to lower porch, the sleeping loft has 2 sets of extra long bunk beds with very comfy mattresses and (2) 32" flat screen tv’s. All mattresses and bedding are very comfy. We want you to feel truly pampered.
The kitchen has all stainless steel appliances ( range is dual fuel - has gas top burners and electric oven) countertops are leathered granite. It is equipped with all pots, pans, utensils etc that you could possibly need.
We have an upstairs porch that stretches the full length of the home. The porch area off the master is screened with a porch bed. Very nice for reading a book or napping. There is also a porch on the lower level that stretches from the living area to the bedroom with swings, Adirondack chairs and ottomans.
Our home has a private dock, the grandsons enjoy fishing and swimming off the dock. If you decide to bring a boat with you, there is room at the front of our dock with buoys for you to tie off. You can store your trailer at Boundary Waters Marina, BOAT TRAILERS ARE NOT ALLOWED AT OUR HOUSE. Please contact them in advance to make arrangements. We are in a beautiful Cove so there’s not a lot of traffic or waves. We have 3 kayaks for your use. Several local marinas offer jet ski and boat rentals as well.
Tubing in Helen GA is 30 minutes away.
For a real adventure take the one hour drive to Whitewater raft the Ocoee where the 1996 Olympics held the Whitewater competitions.
Brasstown Bald (the tallest point in Georgia) is a short 15 minute drive as well as many hiking trails and waterfalls . Many of the waterfalls are a very short distance on the trails. Hiawassee is mile marker 69 on the Appalachian Trail. There are several local golf courses including Brasstown Valley Golf and Spa. North Georgia Fairgrounds is about 2 miles by car or 500 yards by boat which host concerts throughout the year. (A great venue. Check it out prior to your visit for tickets. https://georgiamountainfairgrounds.com ) Spend your days swimming, fishing, skiing, hiking and golfing. If you choose to spend a relaxing evening at home, we have a Weber Gas Grill or go out to check out several wonderful restaurants.
Not recommended for children under 8. Stairs and porch railings are horizontal cable which would entice a child to climb on and possibly fall over.
A ring doorbell is on front entrance for security.

We go to Lake Chatuge every year with my husband’s family for the 4th. Great location and we enjoy being being on the water. The house was wonderful and great layout. We enjoyed the porch sitting. Good spot to hang out with your family!

Beautiful home on the lake. Very relaxing. Kayaking in morning was peaceful. Close to the town and hiking. You can not go wrong here.

Property is as advertised. Nice location lots of stuff available in the area. Upper deck is large and comfortable spent lots of time out on it. Good communication with host. Would go again

We found the home exactly as described. The beds were very comfortable, the kitchen is well equipped, the outdoor areas are great, and the styling was just to our liking! We were on an "escape our house" vacation after being cooped up for a year due to Covid-19. Our family of four didn't use all the bed space available. The loft area with 2 bunk beds went untouched. We think having twice as many people in the home would work well too. The lake views were very nice. The trees and flowers were just beginning to bloom and it was beautiful. This was the perfect place to getaway. Darlene is a great owner and communications were great. We would recommend this home with 100% confidence that you will enjoy your stay.
