Oasis Hostel & Bar

I stayed in the dorm. It was very comfortable. Close to the beach, good food spots around (one just cross the road). free pool (billiard) in the bar - some really professional guys playing - a pleasure to watch and learn how to play. All the personnel is very kind and welcoming.

It was really clean, calm and cosy:)

The Aircon was good and strong. The privacy in the beds was great, with blackout curtains, nothing can peak through into my bed. I licked the small staircase to the above bed, no ladders which is great. Because Karon beach is a more chill area, the people I was sharing the room with were also more chill and not loud - which is also ideal. The common area in the bar was awesome and such a bonus!

The bathroom didn't have stocked toilet paper for over a day which isn't great for 8+ people sharing a toilet. The bathroom cleaning wasn't done regularly enough as people brought in sand and dirt from the streets and it got dirty fast. The bed was hard but not uncomfortable. There were little gecko poops next to my bed on the side, I don't care that much as I know they are everywhere anyway but it did make me not want to touch the side space too much.

Paul, the owner, is really great. The location is really good, near the beach.

The hostel doesn’t look like the pictures on Booking. The bathrooms are dirty, there is not place to put our things to dry. i was in another hostel in Karon beach and there is no comparaison. this one was not like I excepted.
