Front St. Waterfront Cottage with Private Dock, Views, Walk to historic town

Definitely a 10 out of 10! Stan and Lauren are wonderful to work with. Communications were prompt and thorough. We were minutes from "downtown", restaurants and grocery stores.This was a Spring Break trip for me and my husband, teenage daughter and my mom. We each had our own rooms and bathrooms which worked out perfectly! The cottage was very welcoming and we had everything we needed. We loved spending time sitting at the table or in the family room chatting while watching the creek and the nature preserve.The weather was beautiful, so we always had the windows and screen doors open. Most nights you could here the ocean. The deck upstairs is a great addition to the cottage and it was fun to go up there to look out over the preserve.The wildlife that we saw just from the house was more than we could have asked for. We saw the "wild" horses on the reserve across the creek from the cottage. My husband kayaked over to the reserve one day and was able to see additional horses on the other side during high tide. There were two days when we spotted the dolphins in the creek. During low tide one afternoon we spotted an ibis eating near the dock. But our favorite was the green anole that would come out on the porch several times a day and delight us with his little dance and "chest" puffing.We would definitely recommend Stan and Lauren's cottage to anyone looking for a wonderful waterfront getaway!

We stayed for 5d in the winter. The property is on the channel, and it sits within a quiet neighborhood. The owners were responsive once we made contact with them. The decor is nautical and there are lots of board games in the unit for family time. However, we found ourselves minimizing our time in the unit because it was difficult for us to breathe. The owners, to disinfect the air and surfaces the he home, fill it with ozone between visitors. I have exercise-induced asthma, which I think this exacerbated. The property has been smoked in and pets have stayed there. We normally do fine around light amounts of these indoor allergens, but when we turned in for the night, we breathed dust and dander from the comforters and developed stuffy noses and more coughing. I had difficulty breathing and sleeping during the nights.
