About this house rental
Fraser Island is an isolated, natural & wild destination. Please do your own research to ensure you have the necessary knowledge, equipment and mindset needed so that you know what to expect and can get the most out of your stay.

Only 4x4 VEHICLES (4WD) are permitted ON Fraser Island/ K'GARI.
If you do not have a 4WD vehicle you will not be able to board the barge to get to the island.

Power supply is off grid - 24hr solar power with generator backup. The system is set up for your comfort with in place appliances only. Please do not bring or plug in any other electrical appliances as the extra load could cause a power failure. (phones, laptops, iPads and CPAP machines are fine)
- NO WIFI
- NO TV
- NO MICROWAVE
- NO TOASTER (use gas grill)
- NO FANS or AIRCON (off grid solar)
- DO NOT BRING ELECTRICAL APPLIANCES other then above (off grid solar)
- NO TENTS ON PROPERTY
For a traditional down to earth island experience like the old days with everything you need, a good hot shower and deck to hang out on when you get home from fishing and other adventures - a great base for your family and friends to explore the island from.

Shop, fuel and food nearby. The accomodation was basic but was all that we needed. Everything was clean.We could walk to the beach and the ocean breezes were amazing as well as the sound of the ocean at night. It was very peaceful, no rowdy neighbours.Bree was very accomodating and easy to deal with.

Just completed another fantastic week staying at the K'Gari Lodge. Just can't fault it.As usual our host Bree was always ready to help our group with any request that we had. She is just great. This would have to be the best value for money accommodation on the Eastern side of Fraser Island.The unit is well suited to provide a quality stay with a basic but well thought out array of essential services.Little things such as Bree having put a number of ice bricks in the large chest freezer ready to be used as soon as we arrived . This makes for a much more relaxing stay. We will definitely be staying here next year as it is the perfect accommodation for our fishing group.

Good things. Property manager was very friendly and easy to deal with. the shower is hot with good pressure.
Not so good.
Value for money is not really there with this property.
Place could doo with some low power draw pedestal fans. No box freezer as stated would be pain if up for a week long fishing trip. As a last minute booking it was ok for somewhere to eat sleep and shower
