Fraser Forever Orchid Beach Fraser Island

From first booking the accommodation, the communication with the owners was great. The accommodation was exactly as promoted on the site. There was only 3 of us, so we had more than enough room in this property that sleeps 10. Being fully fly screened was a bonus and made it easy to sleep with the doors open at night. Everything you need in the kitchen. We had one meal at the pub on our first night. Worth noting that they are only open for dinner two nights a week. House has a fire pit, that we sat at every night. You need to take your own bedding, which is very clearly outlined when you book. TV had good reception for us to watch the cricket. Cleaning bond returned efficiently and promptly. We'll be back!

Nothing of note. I somehow missed that you also need to take your own soaps/shampoos, but that wasn't a big drama. The only other thing you need to take are board games, cards etc. Again - this wasn't a drama, the app just wants me to put something in this box, and if you're reading this - you might find it helpful.

The facility and the owners are amazing, they are were very well communicative with us and when something went wrong they were always on the other end of the phone to fix it.

Unfortunately, our experience with the caretakers was not as positive. From around 7am on the morning of checkout, we felt like we were being pushed to leave, which made the end of our stay quite uncomfortable. We also noticed that the caretakers had entered the property while we were out for the day. We realised this because several things that we had left switched on while we were away had been turned off when we returned. We were not notified that anyone would be entering the property, which was concerning and made us feel uncomfortable about our privacy during the stay.
