THE GROUNDS
Relax and immerse yourself in this unforgettable gated waterfront estate. With a serene setting, tropical gardens, palm trees, water views, expansive lawns, nearly 10,000 square feet of outdoor space & priceless location, this is the ideal single-level estate to share unforgettable memories with the entire family.

Upon arrival you will enter private gates with an expansive driveway and parking for multiple vehicles. Off the front entry are 2 bedrooms. Further down the hallway is a fully stocked family style kitchen with separate dining area. 2 additional bedrooms share a jack-n-jill bathroom, while the master retreat includes an ensuite bathroom, king sized bed, and water views. The living room features a 75” Samsung TV & multiple seating areas and doors that will seamlessly lead to the spacious rear yard. *Please note the gas fireplace is turned off for safety & liability reasons.

Step into your outdoor bay facing yard and be greeted by and expansive lawn & separate tiled patio area, bordered by an amazing 57' of water frontage. The grassy front lawn will lure you through our gates directly to a white sandy beach and swim friendly bay. Also in the rear yard take advantage of our soaking hot tub, multiple seating areas, and beach gear/toys. This is the ideal place for entertaining, BBQ'ing, sipping pina coladas, and soaking up the San Diego sun!

POLICIES & GOOD NEIGHBOR GUIDELINES
• GUEST REQUIREMENTS | Per certain regulations & HOA requirements, guests must be at least 30 years of age to book with us. If your group is all adults, then all guests must meet our minimum age of 30.
• OCCUPANCY | Our maximum occupancy refers to the number of people allowed in the home at any given time (ie includes both guests & visitors), some of which may be mandated by certain regulations. Exceptions towards the maximum number of people allowed may be made for children under the age of 2. Guest(s) agrees that more than the number of people stated on the reservation shall not occupy the premises. The number of guests includes visitors, even if they are not staying overnight.
• EVENTS | Parties, large gatherings or events of any kind, including but not limited to business retreats, bachelor(ette) parties or pre/post wedding celebrations, are not permitted onsite. This rental is not intended for gatherings of anyone except those who have paid to occupy the property.
• NOISE | Our homes are intended for relaxing getaways, not rowdy beach parties. Music and other noise is to be kept at an appropriate level and in a manner that is mindful to neighbors. Noise that can be heard 50 feet away from the home is prohibited. If there is excessive noise or music, any illegal activity, or evidence of violation of these policies, you may be asked to vacate the premise without any refund and additional charges may be assessed.
• COMBINATION LISTINGS | Due to occupancy restrictions, larger groups looking to book multiple units must reserve a approved combination listing. No more than 1 combination listing can be reserved per stay.

I would stay at this house again because the positives (an amazing (!!) backyard, very comfy beds, perfect location, really nice living room, ample parking) far outweigh the negatives (as another traveler noted, "needing repair" is not the same as "vintage"... I live in a house that is over a hundred years old and appreciate original details... but broken floor tile and such are unacceptable at this price point). But again I could overlook these aesthetic issues. The reason I took a star away is because some of the negatives were safety issues. 1) The best part of this house is the location feet away from the bay. But the grass is so overgrown that you cannot open the gate to the bay more than inches and you need to squeeze through. 2) The path to the bay only extends half way, meaning anyone with mobility issues is SOL (and this is a single story home so I would assume this is a large constituency). 3) Huge lack of outdoor lighting - either lighting does not exist or the lights were not working. I tripped just trying to get to the trashcans because all the outdoor lights were not working. Lastly, for such a quirky house, a guide would have been VERY helpful to understand the ins and outs of the house. All in all, at this price point, the owners could do better.

We frequent the SD area routinely and while we chose this property for it's fantastic view of the Bay, we were sadly disappointed in the presentation of the property. Obviously professional photography was involved and was able to disguise the real quality of the property condition. Final Grade C-.Lorie B.

We filled all five bedrooms this stay, and cooked all our meals here. So many places for us to spread out for quiet time and gather for family time. Pleanty of parking took stress levels to zero.This Mid Century Modern charmer is suited to those desiring a mix of luxury and funkiness; it is a classic property with many original features that some reviewers did not appreciate. One thing to be clear about -- four of the five bedrooms are ensuite to the 3 bathrooms. The fifth bedroom has to access a bathroom through one of the other 4 bedrooms, this was an inconvenience to both the users of the bedroom without the bathroom, and whichever bathroom users had to share. There is no "general" bathroom, the three are all ensuite, with one being a jack and jill. The courtyard with additional fridge freezer was welcome, as were all the sand toys, seats, lawn, outside shower. We walked everywhere, groceries, coffee, all walking, and the single level was perfect for dad, 97, and his walker. Thank you for sharing this blast from the past.

The house was great for our families and all the little kids. It’s right on the bay and it’s nice and quiet. 2 of the burners on the stove didn’t work so it was a little harder to cook for a large group, and it could use a couple bigger skillets. Also, there’s no bathrooms outside of the bedrooms so anyone without a bathroom in their room has to go in someone else’s room to use it. Other than that it was great! Walking distance to so many restaurants, shops, grocery, etc.

This is a very cute spot in a very quiet neighborhood in Mission Beach. It's an older home with a personality all it's own! Great space for a large family with an open floor plan. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need to cook and have meals and we took full advantage of the beach cruisers in the garage for a leisurely ride to Pacific Beach. Check-in was great, but check-out was even easier! The backyard that faces the bay is large and relaxing to people watch as they stroll through the bay path. Location-wise, it's perfect and easily accessible whether you're interested in walking to the nearby shops and beach area or drive to the many great SD areas. Not only was the home spotless when we arrived, but so were the outdoor furniture and cooking area (grill). We'd definitely stay here again if we have another familiy gatherining in SD!
