The Space:
The Laura Ashley by the Sea is a 2,800 sq ft delightful hacienda outfitted in signature designer style. It's located on a canal in The Landings, one of Fort Lauderdale's signature upscale residential communities. Spacious and ideal for groups of up to 10, family and friends, this is a dream South Florida vacation home!
A wonderfully inviting open floor plan holds 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, all in that iconic Laura Ashley style that is comfortable and attractive: tasteful furnishings, decorator tile floors, crown moldings, and stylish fittings. The kitchen is well equipped and roomy, the family room has a flatscreen television and plush seating, and the pool and sundeck are never far away, with entries from the family room, both master bedrooms, and the dining room. Wireless Internet is included.
Speaking of bedrooms, this is one of our largest vacation homes, with room for everyone to spread out. The first master bedroom includes a flatscreen television, a king-size bed, and a master bathroom. On the opposite side of the house, you’ll find a second master bedroom also with a king-size bed and an adjoining bathroom. Two other bedrooms feature queen-size beds, and the fifth bedroom has 2 single-size beds that are perfect for children.
The backyard faces south and has wonderful sun from dawn to dusk. It's also situated at the intersection of two canals, which makes for a scenic view of boats gliding past. The pool is lovely, with a deck made for enjoying the sunshine and there's even a hammock strung between two palms, just like paradise is supposed to be! A sheltered alfresco dining area allows entertaining in comfort, and a fully equipped outdoor kitchen has everything you need to cook in style. The private dock has its own lounge chairs, perfect for tranquil reflection and cozy companionship.
Fort Lauderdale needs no introduction, the incomparable restaurants, bars, and clubs of The Strip are where good times happen. For a romantic or elegant evening out, make sure to also visit Fort Lauderdale’s famous Las Olas Boulevard. Lastly, this home is only a 15-minute walk to relaxing Lauderdale-by-the-Sea, a quaint beach village with a more laid back feel. Beautiful sandy beaches are always within reach, along with all the relaxation and recreation opportunities of South Florida vacation living. You'll never want to return home!

Gorgeous house located in a very good area near Fort Lauderdale by the Sea. The property has ample space for our group of 10. The views are amazing, and the pool is splendid. Would recommend and will be returning. The host responded and attended to our needs very quickly.

We've vacationed in this area every year for the past 10 years, and this rental is the very best. The listing is very accurate and location is perfect. Excellent communication with property manager! We hope to use this location every year!

Enjoyed the house overall for relaxing trip with 2 couples. It was nice having 2 master bedrooms with pool access, it was great for our group.
The house was lacking in basic toiletries/paper products that would have been helpful to have stated in the listing. They only left 1 roll of paper towels and 1 roll of toilet paper in each bathroom which isn’t enough when you’re staying for a week. The kitchen also didn’t have basic pantry staples. They provided salt & pepper, but that was it, not even coffee filters for the coffee pot. They should update the listing with that information for future travelers.
Also disappointed with the patio furniture and communication with the listing agent and/or property manager. When we arrived, we noticed the main patio tabletop was broken and had shards of jagged glass sticking out of it. My husband slipped on the pool tile after it had rained, his hand ended up going through the broken table and needed stitches. I informed the listing agent about this and asked that the table be removed or replaced as it was unsafe, when the property manager came out to inspect it they measured for new tile and glass for the table but didn’t do anything for our stay there. They also left the table at the house, but didn’t do anything else. The listing agent also told us that the table was not broken and was actually new when we arrived, which is incorrect. It felt like we were being blamed for the incident when the glass was already broken and no safety measures had been taken prior to our arrival. We hope that management takes care of the issue so no other renters can be injured, also hope that they take this incident seriously by using safety glass on the table so this doesn’t keep happening.
