This private island getaway is a water lover's paradise and a fisherman's dream. Easy access to the island via a small private bridge.

We enjoyed our recent stay at this cabin, especially the unique combination of both lake and river frontage. The lake was peaceful and beautiful – perfect for relaxing. Just be aware of the boats tend to pass fairly close to the shore due to shallow waters farther out. We enjoyed many kayak rides on both the river and the lake. The kitchen and bathroom were impressively well stocked, which made settling in easy. The cabin itself has a rustic feel, which adds to the charm, though somethings like the older carpet and lack of air conditioning are worth noting. We found we didn’t use the deck since it wasn’t accessible directly from the house. A welcome book or local guide would have been helpful to find nearby attractions, restaurants, and grocery stores. Overall, it’s a quiet, nature field getaway, best suited for those looking for a simple, back to basics retreat. Don’t forget your bug spray as northern Michigan is full of them in the summer!

The pictures on line don't really show how big the house is, there is plenty or room. Perfect location right on the water! It was peaceful and relaxing, we would love to come back.Thanks for opening up your home to us!
