Lovely space, well located

Lots of stairs tricky with a young child. Expected a door on bedroom 3

Great location for summer, out of the busyness of Cham central, but just a short walk along the river. Everything you need in the chalet, with an outside area with great views.

Fantastic chalet. High quality fitout, modern, well stocked with kitchen equipment etc. Beautiful view of the mountains. No traffic noise. Lovely bathrooms. Plenty of storage space in the garage. Tons of DVDs. Parking is not dedicated but we always had a spot right outside the place, which is on a gated, private street. Great hosts that met us when we arrived. Great location in Les Praz area on the edge of town. 5 or 6 mins walk to the (free) train station, 2 mins to the bus. 5 mins walk to the Les Praz lift. 2 mins to the shop and local bars (the Lanchers hotel restaurant was family-friendly and relaxed). Chamonix town is walkable in half an hour through the woods. 5 mins walk to the lift for hiking in the summer. If you are outdoorsy this is an incredible spot for a summer holiday. I'm missing the place terribly already.

Very low ceilings in the attic, fine for kids though. An old man turned up and remonstrated with me for going the wrong way round the block in my car, which I had done - early on the first morning, at a slow walking pace. At least you know there's someone keeping an eye on the neighbourhood, and I got to practise my French apologies. Not cheap but worth every penny.
