Le Lavoir Secret - hébergement atypique dans un joli cadre bucolique

Very nice and helpful staff. Very clean and cozy place. Great sundowner terrace. Very quiet in the middle of nature at the outskirts of the village. Super shower.

It’s got quite a few mosquitoes at the small stream. And it can get a bit warm and sticky air in the small wash house.

Everything! Beautifully quaint little property with so many thoughtful touches. We especially loved feeding the ducks from the balcony. Our hosts were very kind and patient even when our arrival was continually delayed by bad traffic.

We didn’t realise that the bedroom/lounge and kitchen/bathroom were in separate buildings. It didn’t bother us but might not be for everyone.

The location with regard to the village and the pretty situation on the river. The owners were very welcoming and were very attentive. The decor ideas were clever. The terrace by the side was very nice. The shower was excellent - in fact the shower room was one of the successful features.

It should have been made crystal clear in the description,that the wash house itself is only for sleeping in. It is very snug but the mezzanine bed would be difficult for anyone with mobility problems and the building itself for tall people, It is tight inside for sitting in and even by the river. The kitchen, shower room and toilet were 40/30 metres away through 2 gates and over a little track. The toilet is a dry composter - we didn't mind that but it wasn't mentioned in the blurb on the site. It actually reminded us of camping as we made a nocturnal visit to the loo! A torch is essential. The itchen was well equipped but there were no instructions for the hot plate. We just couldn't make it work! We were lucky that the evening was fine - the general sense of crampedness would have chased us out of the place to a bar!
