Excellent location. Literally a 100 metres, if that from Cancale Port, yet set away from the restaurants, bars and shops where not disturbed by noise. Decor, namely the living area bright with nautical theme, and even in bedroom with added touches of beach stones. We were very comfortable. Appreciated the large bottle of water awaiting us in the fridge. Amazing beaches only 15 to 20 minutes by car. Swam every morning. Enough to explore, with different styles of restaurants to choose from. Also only 30 to 40 minutes to Dinan, with a beautifully preserved Medieval heart of the city. Also, Dinard, a spa town, with a lovely beach, reminiscent of Biarritz, but on a smaller scale.

Garage too tight a fit for our car. If it had been a more compact model, or the garage at the end of the houses, not necessitating such tight manoeuvres, would have used for more than just the first night. The general locale was was beneficial in being so close to the port and public parking. Had great advice from the lady at the parking information office at the port. Able to park for a reasonable cost. Enjoyed our stay. These things happen.

Well located bijou apartment near the beach in the centre of Cancale with optional garage parking (not included in the price)

We were informed on arrival that a neighbour’s 16yr old daughter would be having a party. We were kept awake for most of the night by thumping music and screaming teens. I would have appreciated more advance warning so that we could make a decision about changing our reservation. Apart from that, there was also some noise from the apartment upstairs, poor quality bed linen, dated furnishings, a weedy shower and no black out blinds. Perhaps as a concession, the host waived the excessively steep €300 security deposit, opting to photograph our passports instead. Fairly lacklustre all in all.
