I am a Canadian living in Thailand, I booked a vacation to royal palace hotel marina Chennai, first my plane was arriving at 2 am the staff were so amazing they checked me in at 3 am. The staff are the most amazing people you will ever meet, extremely friendly and welcome you as family ! I have traveled around the world and have never met hotel staff like royal palace hotel, the most welcoming friendly people you will ever meet. They truly make you feel like your family and they go out of there way to give you the best experience possible. The rooms are perfect, very clean, sheets, towels, extremely fast internet wifi, air conditioner that keeps you cool and hot water for showers. Other guests are extremely nice they all say hello when seeing them and it's a great warm welcoming environment. I extended my stay because I love the hotel and staff and most important is location ! The location is perfect there is everything you could possibly need or want steps away, tea shops, restaurants and street food that will keep you coming back for more. All locals are amazing very diverse with Hindu, Muslim and christian and everyone is extremely friendly. I walk down the street and I feel like royalty as locals greet you and the experience is amazing ! I had local people buying me tea and food and I try to offer back the kindness and they all say you are a guest in Chennai and we want to take care of you. I have never had such a amazing experience then the authentic Chennai experience. There is a variety of food that will make your mouth water for more. The location is key and it offers everything you could possibly want. I extended my stay because I have never been treated so well in any other place I have been too. You will definitely feel like family in this hotel. I give it 5 stars right across the board and I can guarantee you will love it in every way possible. I really love the staff and I will miss them all and I will be back again very soon !
