New Tourist Guest House

I had the best stay here, the room was simple yet super comfortable and spacious, the garden is beautiful, there’s a couple lounging areas to sit down around the garden and on the building I stayed. Looks just like the pictures with nice shade around and good fans in the room. The house is on a calmer quiet area of lakeside but still walking distance from restaurant and shops, to go further into the busiest area of lakeside you can always get an inDrive moto taxi super cheap fast and comfortable be there in 5min, and still get to rest in a less crowded area. The family who runs the place are incredibly nice, very helpful and always available for anything you may need, they helped me with my laundry and I believe they also have trekking recommendations. They keep the place super clean and it just has good loving energy. I felt very comfortable the entire time and would definitely suggest it specially for longer stays.

The room was a little too warm, but did eventually cool down at night

This was my 2nd visit to New Tourist Guesthouse, and the wonderful staff and owners treated me like family. This guesthouse is like a small retreat in the midst of busy Pokhara. The immaculate gardens give you a sense of peace where it is very relaxing to enjoy some quiet time with a good book or chat with other travelers. My room was very comfortable, but at this time of year, a small heater would be very welcome as the nights are cold and the room gets damp due to the rain. They serve breakfast, too. Shanty, the owner, makes delicious banana and cinnamon pancakes. The guesthouse is located a couple of minutes' walk from the lake. There are many restaurants and cafes nearby.

The lack of heating in the room with such cold temperatures at night

Friendly, helpful owners. Nice large rooms and it’s quiet at night. They will store your belongings when you go trekking.
