Medellín Vibes

We loved our stay here while visiting Medellin. The dorm rooms were spacious and clean, and each bed has its own individual fan even with the air conditioning in the room, which was a nice feature. Staff were always very friendly and helpful. The included breakfast was good and convenient as well.

We were visiting more of the cultural sights of Medellin, not so much the nightlife, so the location was farther for what we had planned and we took taxis and Uber around a lot, as the public transport options were not always feasible.

+ very clean pool + comfortable areas to hang out in + friendly and helpful staff with good English + walking distance to Poblado metro and a small supermarket at the end of the block + comfortable and private bunks with curtains + big secure lockers and key card to dorm + free luggage storage + decent breakfast

- no ventilation/opening window in the dorm so it smelled fairly funky a lot of the time - would be nice to have a free towel included, especially if you stay several days - the shower head could be cleaned so that the water flows better

The hostel is really nice, comfortable beds, friendly staff, good breakfast and the kitchen for the guests was also really clean which you can find rarely in hostels

the location is not the best, directly to the centre of poblado it is only like a 10-15min walk but you have to be careful… we got robbed on the way to the centre at around 5pm so it wasn’t even dark outside by a homeless man who was blackmailing us with a gun which was a scary experience… so if you stay there just try to avoid going through that park even if the way through is not long, there is also another way to the centre but it is a little longer but probably better because you only go along the street and not through a park, or just take uber or indrive to be safe for sure and for the solo travelers - be aware that it is not that social but if you want to chill a little i think it is a good choice
