Rangeley Lake Resort cabin, Maine

We had a very nice stay. Our unit was clean and comfortable. Everything worked well and it was nice to have the full kitchen and washer and dryer. The tv internet were all good and it was nice to have a fireplace. We used the pool hot tub and sauna and that was nice after a day of skiing.

My husband, 4 yo son, and mother-in-law recently returned from a week long stay at this property, located at the Rangeley Lakes Resort. It was exactly as pictured--a quaint cabin with classic lake/moose/bear decor with cozy seating, plenty of hooks and storage space for coats and winter ski gear, a fireplace (though only pressed logs are allowed), and sleeping space for all of us. One bathroom had a shower and the other a bathtub. The kitchen was reasonably well equipped, though missing a teapot/electric kettle for me as a tea drinker which is I find par for the course with most rentals. Location was perfect for a Saddelback ski trip being located on Rt 4 close to the turnoff to the mountain and a quick 2 minute drive into downtown Rangeley. The property does have a pool, hot tub, and sauna (currently closed due for COVID) which would be epic for apres ski in normal times. A few more cozy blankets would be desirable; we found ourselves fighting over the one on the couch! The room wasn't ready on time--not the fault of the owner at all--which I suspect is related to increased cleaning protocols due to COVID. We waited a little more than 35 minutes after check in time, but the check-in process was very smooth. Overall, highly recommended and I would love to stay here again.
