Beautiful Penthouse in Athens with outdoor jacuzzi

The apartment is very well located, excellent in terms of accessing most of the attractions, close to great restaurants and cafes, shops and metro. The lady employed as the cleaner for the apartment is a wonderful asset to the owner, she was extremely helpful.

There was nothing not to like.

Good size, great location, could do with some modernisation and refresh of decoration, but overall a nice place. Sadly, we lost use of the hot tub / pool for almost half the stay as it was completely filthy when we opened the cover, we could not go in it. The owner was responsive and the cleaner attended quickly and cleaned, but it was not a deep clean, the water was not drained & refilled and no water samples provided, cleaning took approx 1 hour, so we were still unsure as to the safety of using it, even though the owner did offer assurances on messages, I was unable to discuss properly with the cleaner as they did not speak English and I do not speak Greek.

The issues with the hot tub / swimming pool which was the primary reason for booking, this was a premium cost for this reason, yet we didn’t get full use so felt a little disappointed by our stay overall.

Une seule petite lumière peu éclairante dans la cuisine. Trop peu de matériel pour cuisiner. Plat pour cuisiner pour 4 bien trop petits. Pas d'huile d'olive à disposition alors que plusieurs vinaigres. Très complexe de cuisiner dans ces conditions. Pas assez de couvertures supplémentaires pour des frileux comme moi. La propreté du jacuzzi était limite à notre arrivée : traces brunes aux angles. L'eau avait une odeur très forte de produits de traitement assez désagréable. Peut-être faut-il revoir l'organisation de nettoyage pour des hôtes qui restent plus d'un week-end.
