About this house rental
Clear the calendar for a trip to 'The Firefly Cottage’,' a 2-bedroom 1-bath vacation rental house that sleeps 6 in beautiful Higgins Lake! You'll feel the stress melt away from the moment you turn down the street and are greeted with a beautiful lake view at the road end public access.
The entire cottage was completely newly furnished and appointed in 2019 and has been meticulously maintained. The Firefly Cottage will welcome you and make you feel right at home!
Whether you prefer summers spent enjoying all that the beautiful Higgins Lake has to offer or fall and winters on the neighboring trails on your UTV or snowmobile, you'll find an adventure awaits right around the corner. If you prefer old school non-motorized fun, the Firefly offers (4) cruiser bikes for guest enjoyment. Kick back, relax, and enjoy one of the world’s most beautiful lakes!
The space
Bedroom 1: Queen Bed & (2) Twin Premium Memory Foam roll away beds. Window air conditioner.
Bedroom 2: Full bed
All new memory foam mattresses, linens and bedding.
Bath: Walk in shower
After each busy day, come back to the cottage for a barbecued dinner on the propane grill and marshmallows around the bonfire. (A charcoal grill is also available and stored in the garage.)
Enjoy a morning coffee or outdoor meal on the front patio with a view of the lake only 100 yards away.
The Firefly Cottage is the perfect spot where up-north charm and modern amenities perfectly coincide. Equipped with high speed wireless internet and Smart TV with access to all your streaming channels you subscribe to in case you need to wind down from the day’s adventures. A portable air conditioner in the living area and window unit in the master bedroom provide cooling comfort when needed.

This is, without a doubt, the cleanest rental property we have ever experienced. Totally welcoming, very nicely outfitted modern kitchen and open floor plan, comfortable furniture, great hot water, literally steps from your lake access with a great dock and that crystal clear Higgins Lake water, cool fire pit, and much more. Easy communications with helpful polite owners. We recommend this darling 2-bedroom cottage whole-heartedly, and would be delighted to stay here again. Thank you, Michelle and Bryan.

The firefly cottage is the perfect place for a summertime getaway to the lake. The house is amazing and fully stocked and appointed. This isn’t your normal VRBO that always seems to be missing a key item for cooking dinner, etc - if you need something, it’s available in this house. Add in the bikes and fire pit outside for use and whatever you want to do while here, you’ve got.
The location is literally steps away from a public dock on Higgins, making it possible to boat all morning and make a quick stop back to the house to grab lunch and get back out on the lake for more fun. Can’t recommend enough and would absolutely come back and stay again. Book this place, you will not be disappointed.
