Trulli Gianpaolo - Luxury Villa

Lovely house, beautiful gardens and facilities inc. swimming pool and patio.

Aircon was quite noisy/leaked a little in main bedroom. Rural broadband/wimax was a bit patchy too. Minor complaints.

The photos do not do this Trulli justice, when you walk through the front the view will amaze you! We loved the outdoor area, the pool was exceptional. Great size & temp. Dragon flies were diving into it, butterflies were in abundance, it Trulli was beautiful! Being in the middle of the country side was lovely and peaceful. Inside was also stunning, it has 2 separate wings, with one bedroom & en-suite on one side of the living accommodation and the other 2 bedrooms & shared bathroom on the opposite side. Showers were great, beds were comfortable. There’s a local mini market which was super handy but I’d recommend doing a big shop before you even check in (if possible) as Martina Franca is your nearest large supermarket. It’s a peaceful peace of tranquility and I’d even go back if I ever returned to that region.

It is VERY rural, you WILL need a car and to be a fairly competent driver as it is up a very narrow track. I had hoped from looking at the map that we might be able to walk to the local mini market but it’s too far. Bikes on site would be a great addition. Air con in the main bedroom was a tad noisy but I had ear plugs so wasn’t a major issue. There is no”proper” air con in the smaller 3rd bedroom, but there’s a portable unit. Again you are in a Trulli so they are fairly cool anyway. There are 4 sun loungers in addition to the amazing comfortable cabana, these could do with being a tad more luxurious for a “luxury” villa. A bottle of water in the fridge would be a really lovely welcome addition (which we have even had in budget rooms in Italy) However these are minor things and me being particularly picky! Don’t let them put you off! Book it now……

air conditioning only in 2 of the 3 bedrooms and none in the rest of the property (this is not made clear on the website) attention to detail on facilities checks (chess board missing 3 pieces, only 3 sunloungers, TV needed replacing as no satellite channels available, air conditioning in main bedroom not working correctly)
