Sunset Lakehouse, cozy cottage

Location

Amazing location lakeside. We spent more than 50% of our time on the large covered deck eating meals and watching the sunset. The check-in process and communication was easy and seamless. The best part of the cottage was all of the added equipment (2 SUPs, 2 Kayaks, 2 Canoes, Fishing Rods, Sports Equipment). It allowed us to get on the water every day and enjoy the clear, clean and warm Lake Huron. The layout was also great for a small family or small groups of families. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed and we were able to make great meals. The location was very secluded, private and quiet. It was also a great place to run in the morning and have a bonfire in the evenings.

Here is a list of things that could be improved: - Beds could be more comfortable (mattresses were old) - The BBQ was old and inconsistently hot across the grill (hard to cook on/burn food) - There are numerous water snakes, so keep on the lookout - A little bit of a privacy concern with a constant camera focused on the deck (might be recording and storing video + sound); owner was non-intrusive but still feels a little disconcerting - Tree house is a little bit rough so wouldn't spend much time in it - Hot tub does not face the lake, so we did not end up using it
