Good location close to the marina and old town but not in the midst of it so more quiet for sleeping of which we prefer. Nice and cool and air conditioned during a hot time in July. Francesco came and met us even on last minute arrival. A wonderful breakfast (different types of croissants, focaccia, cappuccino, juice) was provided at the main building where you can also use the balcony any time of day/night.
It was a little cave-like, with no windows except little ventilation window in upstairs loft. It was so hot and we were mostly out and about so it worked ok for us.

Location was excellent. It was clean. Breakfast was excellent. The view at breakfast was great. The room was large with a loft.
The room we had was underground on the bottom level with a loft. Unfortunately due to where it is built there is a strong dank smell. We stayed only one night so not a huge problem but I would not accept this room again. I did not see the other rooms but they were all above ground level and I suspect they were very good.

Teta Viesta (means Theta in English) is a sound mid-range B&B we assess as offering decent value, and a good base to enjoy Viesta. It is well located in the the old town, it has a useable balcony with weathered, but serviceable, table and chairs, where you can see the street life below and get a view of the lighthouse and the sea, noting that this is not a waterfront property. The single best inclusion might be the access to Beach Club which we enjoyed for 2-1/2 days - this in some ways, made our stay, so thank you to our host for this. The bed comfort is good, you get two pillows each, the air conditioner will deal with the worst of the heat when flat out (we were there in late June = hot), the bar fridge was able to get things properly cold (you don’t always get this!), the bathroom was well finished etc. When you leave the property, it is only a short walk (not more than 5 minutes) and you will be in the central piazza of town. General advice if arriving by car: the destination supplied by the property for parking is actually the main public car park for the town. When you get there, park anywhere in this large car park, then sort out your parking fee at the ticket machine. You can buy multiple days at once at the Euro 7/day rate as you need. Then you can approach the B&B using the prominent (and long) set of stairs you will see on the town side of the car park. Once you get to the top of the stairs it is only a short distance to the B&B. Or walk up the road as noted below without having to climb steps.
On arrival our first impression was that you need to be a fit independent traveller to lug your bags up that long, high, set of stairs. Which we did, not knowing any better, and it was quite the effort leaving you hot and flustered on arrival! We later realised it would have been much easier (presuming you have roller bags) to go up on the road the way you drove in - which is what we did on checking out, but you need local knowledge to do this, else be good with mobile mapping apps, maybe. (It would also be possible to drive into the street close to the B&B and park and unload, if you know where to go and are comfortable with driving into old towns - which we avoid if possible!) Breakfast will be exactly the same every day, and the choice of croissant type you make on checking in, e.g. pistacho, is what you will get for the remainder of you stay, (I guess you could have negotiated a change if you made the effort with the language). For drinks, you will get half a glass of juice, your choice of coffee, an extra coffee if you ask, but no water will be offered. The fruit supplied at breakfast was a bowl of whole plums, nectarines and/or pear, which was fine, except we had an experience where we watched a worm moving between the holes in it’s plum. We left the plum on the plate as you might expect, but our hostess had gone before we had the chance to tell her. The surprise was that the exact same piece of fruit came back to us the next day, complete with a rather cold-looking worm, having been in the fridge all night! So check the fruit carefully. It can be hot at breakfast, there being shade for only two tables on the terrace. The inside breakfast room suffers from the commonly-encountered reluctance in Italy to turn on the air-conditioner - even though there was one - so it will also be hot in there if the weather is warm.
