Welcoming host, beautiful, quiet location, dark skies, delicious breakfast. 'Old school' B&B - definitely someone's home - which I rather like, plus chatting to other guests in the breakfast room. Addition of a new puppy quite fun too, as well as nesting swallows under the eaves right outside the window!
In case others are bothered about this (I am not, I thought it was lovely): It is a person's regular home, so not sound insulated like a purpose built place might be, and there are other guests in adjoining rooms. I had sole use of a bathroom but it is not ensuite (I wrapped myself in a towel but dressing gowns are provided). Not a lot of space if you had a lot of luggage. Quite a soft mattress which may not suit everyone.

Very friendly host who allowed us an early check in of bags before a local wedding. Lovely home cooked Full english breakfast in the morning.

Another comfy and cosy stay. Gorgeous setting, we love being surrounded by antiques while enjoying breakfast. We both had full English with tea, juice and fabulous hosting.
