Clean and quiet. An oasis of calm!

They had a bar but everything was closed up by 3/4pm. We were so disappointed as we had gone out in the morning and planned an Aperol for when we got back.

We spent 6 nights at this wonderful place. The hotel is on an extensive quiet property, has a beautifully landscaped garden, almost like a park. Interiors are spotless and architect-designed. We stayed in garden suite No 1 closest to the swimming pool. It is spacious, tasteful, clean and with a little patio in front and at the back and with a very comfortable bed. The swimming pool is beautiful, clean and large enough to actually swim. It seems, that there are about 19 rooms available. During the night it is very quiet, you cannot hear the nearby road to Portocolom. During the day there was a noise in the distance, we think it was from a stone breaker machine on a nearby business. But this was quite far away and not bad. Also we were out every day. We are cyclists and were pleased about the room for bycicles. The outdoor aerea is unique in size and beauty, but its potential is not used fully. A walk through the premises with explanations of the plants and the "artefacts" displayed would be an idea. Also the beautiful barbecue area could be put to some use for the guests even if a fee is charged for providing cutlery and crockery.

There are 2 small things we want to mention, though they do not outweigh the overall poitive experience: The place is a bit impersonal, in stark contrast to a similar but family run place we spent the days before (Finca Sa Maniga in Bunyola). After the selfcheckin we did find everything and there was a phone number to contact. But we did not see any staff until breakfast next day . Nobody welcomed us then or in the following days either. In the morning at breakfast we were given a brief "buenos dias" immediatly followed by the question (even before we sat down), if we wanted coffee or eggs. 2 members of the staff are tasked with preparing and serving breakfast as well as doing the reception. During our stay this was mostly done by 2 men, one also being the gardener and dressed as such. They tried their best, especially the gardener who worked tiredlessly all day. However they battled to prepare and serve coffee and eggs and set and clear the tables. We did attribute this to a total lack of training, understaffing and the language barrier. The 2 men were so busy that we did not dare to task for a checkin until we checked out on the last day. Breakfast itself could be improved in presentation and what is offered in order to meet the standard of the enterprise. Yes, we did meet the manager and seemingly owner who did ask if we liked the place and where we had been. We found the short exchange very matter of fact. He is a very busy man.

The staff may be more helpful. I had to negotiate hard to get a second towel for the pool because the rule says "1 towel per person"...
