Great location for everything, lovely house

We arrived at the house very late (due to traffic conditions). We could enter the house with no problem at all. The location allowed for 2 cars to park, but we found another parking spot for the 3rd car. The house looked clean. It's a big house with open kitchen and 2 doors to the garden.

One of the kids went upstairs to rest on the bad and after few minutes he come downstairs very scared. We all went upstairs and we noticed on the bed he was sitting there were bed bags. We knew we could not sleep in the house anymore so we called the contact we had. Although it was now mid night the gentlemen answered the phone and we asked him if he has another house we could sleep for the night. By now, all 3 kids were extremely tire and adults were tired too after 7 hours driving (due to traffic condition). The gentlemen offered us another house for the remaining of the night. Also the next day we spoke face to face with the gentlemen which I though was very nice, considering the situation. Luckily that morning we managed to find a hotel nearby and kids still managed to enjoy their holiday.

Neighbours are a little frosty about the parking. Host v helpful to resolve this.

Modern, comfortable house in North Devon

Our group of 6 adults and 2 babies had a wonderful stay at Eve’s Corner. The house is modern, stylish and clean, and has everything we needed for our holiday. It has a well equipped kitchen, utility room, a large lounge, lovely bath towels and comfortable beds. Some of our party had to work whilst we were there, and we were glad to find that the WiFi worked really well.

Lovely house but shame about the parking. Bideford is lovely with great walks and beaches.

The location is in an industrial estate near Asda, Lidl and a shopping centre but this didn't bother us too much. It made shopping easy. The house is very new and very nice with good facilities but has a problem with parking.

Parking is a big problem at this property. There is really only 1 space and this small (very new) estate has very narrow roads and very little extra parking possible. The owner says you can park 2 cars in front of the garage but we could not do so as this is right in front of a neighbours property. Also you have to use an app called StayStay to get check in details which I did not get told about till 2 days before our holiday date and I had never heard of it. The owner did not respond to questions through booking.com. Although he did when I started using StayStay.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay despite the atrocious weather and it was a nice place to return to

We were self-catering. The location was good for getting to places and lots of space for us to spread ourselves out indoors. The kitchen and table for eating were both large. Everything was very clean and modern. The weather was not suitable for utilising the garden but it was nice to be able to look out on it.

A few things would have made life easier. Instructions for using the hob etc. missing and had to ring the owner. Information also missing for other equipment. No egg cups for breakfast. No hooks on the back of the bedroom or bathroom doors for hanging anything like a dressing gown or a towel. Heated towel rail in the shared bathroom did not work. Information provided beforehand said there was a DVD player and CD player - there were neither.
