The scenery surrounding De Poort Country lodge is really breathtaking, and it is so quiet and peaceful there. I would advise anyone who wants to visit Oudtshoorn to stay at De Poort Country Lodge. It is just a 10 Minute drive from De Poort Country Lodge to Oudtshoorn

A true green gem surrounded by mountains and canyons. The place is absolutely stunning, with a beautiful pool, an incredibly comfortable bed, and exceptional cleanliness. Everything was perfect, but what really touched our hearts was Elna, the host — so kind, loving, and genuinely caring. An unforgettable stay. Wow.

Lovely arrival from Elna who met us in person and gave us a welcome glass of sherry whilst talking to us about some of her recommendations in the area. The location is beautiful - it felt very tranquil and relaxed. The pool area was lovely, it was a shame it wasn’t sunny enough during our stay to us to use it. The room was traditional, clean and well equipped. Liked the extra little treat of the rusks for breakfast!
