This lovely, casually elegant cabin is located on a local ranch and is perfect for a romantic getaway, family vacation or a girls weekend exploring Fredericksburg, the local wineries and all the natural beauty the Texas Hill Country has to offer. If you're looking for a cozy evening, you can enjoy a glass of wine (or your favorite adult beverage and watch the sunset from the 30 foot covered front porch or hang out around the outdoor fire pit and enjoy looking out at the rolling hills or under beautiful starry skies. To make it even better, your furry family members (dogs) are welcome to join for the fun (with payment of Pet Deposit**). 10% discount for military and first responders.

Downtown Fredericksburg is about 10 miles away and has excellent dining, shopping, and numerous wine tasting rooms. Just outside the city, the famous Wine Road 290 offers more wine tasting and food, as well as beautiful views of peach orchards and the breathtaking Texas Hill Country. If you're a museum buff, you can visit the National Museum of the Pacific War, in downtown Fredericksburg, with its extensive history of World War II in the Pacific.

The location and the cabin were nice. However the property has a scorpion problem which the host said she would address. Did not stay the day’s planned left the night arrived and was refunded. I’m sure once the problem is resolved it would be a nice place to stay.

We had a wonderful time at Casseta Toscano. It was really more than I imagined. We will definitely be returning. A couple of suggestions, a tissue box or two, more aluminum foil and the dish soap didn’t stay sudsy long enough. Thank you again for a wonderful weekend!

Loved our stay. The cabin was beautiful and comfortable. Had a nice homey feel. Loved sitting on porch and watching the beautiful sunset and deer in the morning.

Cute cabin but cramped with very small kitchen and bathroom. Very little counter space in kitchen to prepare meals, no dishwasher. Fold-out couch was unsleepable, bedroom walls did not meet the ceiling so no privacy. Outdoor fire pit was cute but there were so many scorpions we were afraid to sit out there. No trash service and owner complained when we didn’t take it with us.

We loved staying here for our anniversary, we have stayed her before and Sue is always amazing and helpful! Our dogs loved the fenced gate as did we! Staying a little bit away from Fredericksburg is nice and we really feel like we get away from the craziness of Dallas! Highly recommend and would love to stay again!

The perfect cabin for a quiet, country get away! The view is beautiful, the deer come out at dusk - I cannot describe the peacefulness we experienced. We were able to have our fur babies without any concerns of them getting out of the yard. My husband and I enjoyed playing yahtzee & dominoes in the evening with a glass of wine. You have 15-25 minutes to access downtown, or any local place you would like to see. We chose the Pacific War Museum (my husband is a Vet), Enchanted Rock, Luckenback, the Wildflower Seed nursery and gardens as well as just strolling though town. You have everything you need to feel at home. The owner is near in case anything is needed. We will definitely reserve this cabin in the future as we take our mini-cations to Fredericksburg! :)

This property was great! The space is homey and open, with a super comfortable couch, chair, table, and dining table. The bed was incredibly comfortable and the bathroom was clean, tidy, and well spaced. The entire house was very clean and put together nicely. Our dogs LOVED the fenced in yard, and the hosts even gave us some bowls for food and water, and balls for them to play with! The care that was put into the property clearly shows and we cannot recommend this place enough!

On a ranch not far from Fredricksburg Texas sits this comfortable getaway cabin. Oh, the starry nights and the wildlife made it the perfect respite from our busy lives and a place to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Upon arrival we discovered the hosts had provided a card and gift to help us celebrate. Hummingbirds entertained us during the day and then the dear appeared at dusk. Everything was as described in the listing.

Amazing place to unplug with the family and enjoy nature...far enough from town to see all the stars and enjoy the wildlife but close enough to enjoy town. Sue and Rick were extremely greeting...the casita was extremely clean and just perfect for us with out infant daughter...we were treated with an amazing evening thunderstorm...everything you could need...great kitchen...fire pit...grill...just an excellent location...will be back for sure...

The cabin was perfect. Very quiet and saw a ton of deer. Listened to the coyote at night. Beautiful sunrises and sunsets. The beds were extremely comfortable. I even asked what kind and where they purchased!! Your 10 minutes from downtown Fredericksburg. If you want peace and quiet, this is the place!!

My wife and I wanted a quiet get away from Dallas with the puppies to see stars and hang out! We more than satisfied. We could go hiking with the the dogs or leave the at the cabin for a night by ourselves! We ended up running back to our babies but having the options was exactly what we were looking for!! We were visiting Fredericksburg for the first time with family and pets and we were lucky to be able to stay in this cute cottage. Everything was as described! Susan responded promptly to all my questions and gave us clear directions to the location . She even had a welcome kit ready for us with detailed information and treats for my furry babies.Cottage was clean and extremely cozy! The best part is the porch and the fireplace seating where we enjoyed coffee and drinks while watching the sunsets and absorbing the scenery. My dogs had a blast and we also spotted some wildlife during our walks. If you want the calm, peaceful environment to destress yourself from the city life and work, look no further than the Casseta! We will be planning to go back again!!
