The Neighborhood:
Our villa is in the exclusive and renowned Santa Maria Estate in Mellieha. While Santa Maria Estate itself is residential, it's just a short drive from Mellieħa town center, where residents can find supermarkets, shops, restaurants, and other essential services. The estate is well-connected by road, making it easy to access other parts of Malta. Public transportation, including buses, serves the area, providing connectivity to nearby towns and Valletta, the capital city.
Getting Around:
Navigating the nearby area is relatively straightforward. While the villa’s exclusive location provides ultimate tranquility, you will find that most amenities and attractions are within a short drive. We recommend bringing or renting a car for the greatest flexibility, although taxi and ridesharing services are also available. We can also arrange airport transfers or car hire at an additional cost. Please contact us for a quotation.

The Villa is very clean and spacious with excellent kitchen and bathroom facilities. Having water, tea and coffee available immediately was a nice touch. The furniture in the lounge area is very comfortable as are the beds. The bedrooms are downstairs, two en-suite and one with a separate bathroom. This is a double villa with a connecting door. You can definitely hear the neighbours, especially the children but it’s not a problem. No one should have to be quiet on holiday!The Villa is in a beautiful and peaceful location, about a fifteen minute walk uphill to the supermarkets and bars so our car was a definite advantage. A thirty minute walk in the opposite direction takes you to the beach. The major issue we had, and this is due to the area / season and not the Villa, was mosquitoes and apparently Sandflies. We were all badly bitten both whilst around the pool and during the night. Take lots of protection and buy fly spray to blast the rooms in the evening. Unfortunately this spoiled our enjoyment of the pool area but again, it’s an observation and not a criticism.Overall we had a wonderful time, any issues were immediately resolved so critters notwithstanding, 10 / 10.

The villa was very well thought out and set up. A few small issues came up (naturally when you're unfamiliar with the set up) but our host got back to us immediately and were very quick to resolve them. There was a maintenance guy who cleaned and checked the pool daily and always asked if "everything is ok?" if he saw us.
I would definitely recommend this villa and would hope to go back in the future.
We were a family of 6 (4 adults - one of which was elderly, 2 kids) and the room accommodation was perfect for our group. 2 ensuite bathrooms and a seperate shower room which the kids used.
In terms of access, I would recommend a car if you want to travel the island. The Villa is situated in the North of the Island as we travelled to visit family etc in the south which was aprox 30 mins by car.
Parking was always available outside the villa which is a bonus.
There is a good supermarket at the top of the Hill which we were constantly using.
We would definitely recommend hiring out Villa Hibiscus.

Insgesamt hat uns das Haus sehr gut gefallen. Die Gestaltung und die Lage des Hauses sind wunderbar. Der Pool ist sehr sauber. Leider ist die Ausstattung wirklich sehr dürftig. Nach jeder Mahlzeit musste zwingend gespült werden. Mehr Gläser oder Besteck wären wünschenswert. Ebenso ist das WLAN nicht wirklich existent. Nur an vereinzelten Stellen im Haus hat man Empfang.
Die Kommunikation mit dem Management lief problemlos. Wir hatten eine defekte Kaffeemaschine und eine halbe Stunde nach der Infomail stand der Hausmeister mit einem Tauschobjekt vor der Tür.
