The landscape gardening was sublime; the pool had tranquil views over the rice paddies; and the decor was beautiful too. I couldn’t ask for a more serene location to unwind. The staff were so friendly and always wore a smile. The guided rice paddie walk was a beautiful touch.

Gorgeous, relaxing and authentic Ubud stay

I had a wonderful stay at Kuwarasan A Pramana Experience. The hotel is in a beautiful and peaceful location surrounded by lush greenery and rice fields, making it the perfect place to relax. My room was spacious, very clean, and beautifully designed, with a comfortable bed and everything I needed for a comfortable stay. The infinity pool overlooking the jungle was a real highlight and a lovely place to unwind. The staff were incredibly kind, friendly, and attentive, always making sure I felt welcome and well taken care of. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Ubud who is looking for a peaceful and relaxing experience. I would definitely stay here again.

A wonderful classy boutique style hotel.

Amazing high spec boutique hotel. Lovely scenic location with just a short taxi ride to main town & other excursions in Ubud. There is also a complimentary shuttle which goes back & forth to town a few times a day. Very attentive staff, a great restaurant with delicious food & top class spa on site. All in all a very relaxing & comfortable stay although wish the weather could have been better as we stayed during the rainy season (but the hotel can’t control that 😂!).

Excellent stay and would come back

We loved the design of the hotel. The garden, pool area and surrounding views were all beautiful. We enjoyed the walk to the terraces as well as the morning yoga. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The shuttle service to Ubud and back was great.

A great representation of the welcoming Ubud culture and perfect for a relaxing getaway

Depending on traffic, is about half an hour away from the center of town but the daily shuttle makes it so convenient. Peaceful setting with beautiful architecture. Even has its own small temple. Spa was great and the staff were lovely every day. Food especially breakfast options were endless.

Was nice to be away from all the noise, serene tropical atmosphere.

I Did not like the breakfast at all. I don't know what all these other reviews are raving on about re breakfast. The gym needs improvement too. The yoga class was nice in theory but offering one class at 7am is quite limiting for travellers that want to sleep in.

Exceptional, Relaxing, Refreshing, Inspiring and a feast for the eyes and tastebuds.

This place was one of those wonderful surprises you sometimes find when travelling. Service was 10/10 always attentive and with a smile. The food both at breakfast and dinner was spectacular especially the crusted salmon, potato chowder and Sushi rolls - we were in heaven. We are so grateful to Rati, Bande (Smiley) and Noomia especially for their warmth and for explaining and showing us the Balinese culture so enthusiastically. And a big thankyou to Gusti for the unexpected upgrade to the amazing Cempuka Pool Villa. Ubud is so beautiful and rustic and charming - we will be back (to this hotel)!!

Everything!!!! The room was so spacious and clean. The hotel facilities & grounds are fabulous. Every single person that works there was a beautiful human. I will absolutely return on my next trip! I’ve been to Bali many many times and whilst I always experience the Balinese people as caring and accomodating, sometimes it’s clear the management of the hotels is lacking…..not here!! Everyone at Kuwarasan knew exactly what was happening, it was really professional & just a great energy - everyone seemed happy! You won’t regret staying here 🥰

Beautiful property, nearby vicinity has fantastic rice fields all around. The room was very beautiful, royal feeling. Most of all the staff were what made our stay amazing. Leo was a very kind, warm and informative guide taking us on a great morning walk all around the rice fields. This was truly a highlight of our stay. All staff were very attentive, warm, and focused on delivering exceptional service.

Amazing experience with breathtaking view

This was one of the best experiences I had in my life. The staff is the most friendly, kind and welcoming, making you feel comfortable and at home. The pool is soo beautiful and the food is amazing. Special highlights to the breakfast and drinks. The surroundings are breathtaking and the yoga class at 7 am is a must.

What a lovely oasis! The rooms, breakfast and we also enjoyed the use of the spa It was an about 15 minutes outside the centre of Ubud which was great and no hassle, transport was available every couple of hours free!

We really loved our stay in Kuwarasan. The hotel looks amazing absolutely as advertised. The facilities are great as are the staff members. The team went above and beyond to make our honeymoon special - including some adding some special touches to our room for our arrival. The hotel is locally owned and you can tell by the friendly and family environment which has been created. The food was of a very high standard and there’s plenty to choose from.

We have no dislikes about the accommodation. The property is about 20 minutes drive outside of Ubud but this was not a problem.

Great stay in Ubud

Our stay at Kuwarasan was fantastic. The staff were incredible; very friendly and ready to help with anything we needed. Our room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. The room was cleaned and water refilled twice a day. The hotel itself is beautiful as well, the gardens are really incredible it feels like a tropical paradise! The breakfast was very filling and delicious. We liked the free shuttle into Ubud town throughout the day too; it was very convenient. The hotel spa was also amazing with beautiful rooms and very good massages.

The view of the rice fields wasn’t as good as pictured but given that everything else was so great it didn’t really matter!

Unexpectedly superb food for a very reasonable price.

A very nice hotel in a very quiet area not far from Ubud center. Superb breakfast and even more superb food in hotel's restaurant. Quality and taste of both local and international dishes were much better than expected, much better than much more expensive hotels in Bali, and could easily rival best restaurants we have ever visited anywhere.

Rooms are a little damp so they spray perfume to hide the smell of dampness. Did not bother me that much, but someone could be more sensitive. Maybe some driers would be more effective...

It was heaven on earth – a very special place indeed.

Kuwarasan A Pramana was without a doubt one of the best hotels I have ever had the pleasure of staying in. I spent three nights there with my sister, and I honestly almost shed a tear as we drove away. Everything about this place is magical. It’s a true oasis of calm, shielding you from the bustle of Ubud. I hope to return one day.

There is nothing I did not like. The only area of possible improvement that springs to mind is the food is a delicious 8.5/10. With some tweaks, it could be 10/10.

Kuwarasan: a top class experience !

The whole Kuwarasan team shows professionality, kindness, hospitality and warmth on the highest level. From the very first moment they make us feel at home and we had special days here. A wonderful gem in the Tegel Lalang area (close to Ubud centre) which surely will give everyone precious memories. Thank you for this !

Disappointing, no way this place should be rated 9+

While overall we were disappointed with this hotel, we did love the SPA. And while not much cheaper than SPA’s in Europe, it was a really great massage and overall experience. Breakfast was OK, but again, as we had other hotels in Bali to compare with, it was only OK. Rooms are nicely decorated and had a very nice bathroom.

- We paid a heavy extra for the Pool Villa, and it was a big disappointment. Pool water was too cold to enjoy, sun beds very used and dirty, sun umbrella so dirty it was disgusting to look at. The area around our private pool was supposed to be covered in grass, but instead it was dirt and even some tiny plastics and broken glass - The staff is not up to 5 star standard, we changed three hotels in Bali and this was by far the worst. We had so many weird moments with wrong orders in the restaurant, missing reservations, etc. On one occasion our waiter brought me and my wife six different drinks for our dinner (at this point it doesn’t seem like a language barrier, but more of a lack of common sense) - The rooms are very humid and smell of mold. Nothing inside the room ever gets dry. Even our bedsheets were constantly wet. Instead of investing in a dehumidifier, they chose to put a disgusting Airwick smell in each room, which makes things even worse. - The shared pool area simply feels weird, the pool bar is just sad and empty at almost all times. - Food in the restaurant is a serious hit and miss, some dishes were simply unedible and we had to send them back. - As a bonus, there’s a construction happening next door and not only you hear the sounds, but there’s also construction workers staring at you while you are having a swim, or relaxing by the pool. Overall, very disappointing experience, I still don’t understand how this place has 9+ rating on booking. And we changed different hotels in Bali so I definitely have something to compare with.
