Villa Torre di Palanzo with Magnificent View

We had a wonderful stay at Villa Torre di Palanzo. The views over Lake Como are absolutely stunning, and the villa is spacious, clean, and very well equipped. We especially enjoyed the pool, the garden, and the peaceful surroundings. The walk from the parking area is a bit uphill, but the breathtaking location makes it well worth it. Highly recommended!

Beautiful location. The headline view really delivered, and we loved the neighborhood and close by restaurants. Assuming you have a car, it's a great jumping off point.

Home felt dirty, like no one had stayed in it for a long time. Ants in the kitchen, likely mice, but somewhat to be expected from an old home in the pre-alps. There was an empty beer bottle in one of the rooms and a bee nest in the outdoor umbrella. One of the bathroom toilets was leaking. But when we had issues or questions, the staff answered quickly via WhatsApp

Beautiful old house, enormous rooms, lovely garden with great views. Like being in a castle. Fantastic old hillside village with different levels and alleyways. Good bar/restaurant a short walk away

Church bells ring on the hour and half hour, too close and too loud, with a massive wake up peel at 6:45 in the morning. There are a lot of stairs in the property, always climbing up for something since it’s based on many levels. The swimming pool decking is quite scruffy though the pool is nice enough. Palanzo is quite remote and if you are self catering, you need to drive into Como to get provisions. The local shops don’t sell much and they are expensive. If you want to get to the lake, the drive is long and tortuous, and parking can be a problem in the afternoon. Walking down to the lake is okay but getting back uphill is not for the faint hearted.
