Pak Ping Rim Khong

We loved the friendly staff, the clean rooms and view of the Mekong across the roofs. We had a room on the 3rd floor, the 1st floor is street level (ground in NZ). Staff took our bags to the room for us which was appreciated as there is no elevator. The room had lovely quiet aircon, comfy bed and great shower. There is a walk along the river just across the road which was lovely. Breakfast is from a small menu but suited us. There are a few places to eat around the hotel. It was a bit further from the town than we expected but you can use grab or a tuktuk for a short distance. The night market is about 700m from the hotel and has great food options, live entertainment and stalls.

Clean and cozy accommodation in Chiang Saen. The staff is so kind and attentive, so that I stayed really comfortably. In addition, my room was fortunately faced to Mekong River, so that I was able to enjoy a (partial) view of the river. In addition, I was allowed to use a bike free of charge and traveled to the Golden Triangle Park with the bike. This accommodation offers several choices of breakfast and I chose the traditional northern Thai style one. It was fantastic experience.

The traffic on the street in front of the accommodation was heavy even in the late at night, heavier than I imagined. However it was not a significant matter for me. If you are sensitive to sound/noise, you could request a room not facing to the street.
