Wow, what an unexpected highlight to our trip to Beijing! We admit, the initial impression was concerning as the taxi driver wasn't sure of the location and dropped us off in an alley, but as soon as we went through the doors, we were delighted. What a unique little place to stay. It wasn't a big fancy hotel, it was a small, perfectly decorated slice of China. And although the facilities were excellent, it was the staff that made this an 11 on a 1-10 scale. They were so focused on making us feel welcomed and attended to everything. The breakfast was outstanding with a good mixture of authentic Chinese items and some "western" items. They were always quick to offer a drink when returning from a hot visit to the sites or to arrange travel if requested. The room was very comfortable and relaxing and the rain head shower was wonderful. I would highly recommend and encourage a traveler to give this place a try.

The tea and breakfast were especially great, and they were very kind to the children, entertaining them during the tea and helping them to feed the fish and play with the birds. The kids did not want to leave! The location was also fantastic - close to so many great restaurants, and an easy Didi to all the sights.

The room was a tad small for the 5 of us, even though it was advertised as suitable for our group size.

My family had the most wonderful stay at this hotel. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable. When one of my sons was a bit unwell, they made a special tea for him. They provided the cutest snacks for all of us and were so sweet and helpful in every possible way. It is an incredibly charming little hotel with the most wonderful staff!!
