The owners of the apartment, Ian and Ceu made us feel very welcome and gave us lots of advice about where to go and what to see on the island. We used the local bus service to go into Funchal, which was very easy and convenient.
All in all, the owners where excellent hosts and we were very comfortable with them.
There is nothing we didn’t like.

Welsh Ian is a really great guy, as his Madeiran wife. She minds a lovely garden which is a peaceful oasis

Apartment was spacious and clean. The hosts, Ian & his wife couldn't have been more helpful and accommodating. Ian lent us his personal fan as we found the apartment hot, he gave us a lift to our next accomodation. Lovely little garden with a wonderful view. Nice little pool. We would definitely stay again.
Given that we are elderly the location, about 20-25 minutes walk down steep hill into Funchal centre was not ideal. We did take the bus back up! There are no restaurants nearby and only a small supermarket. Therefore, for us, when we stay again we will need to hire a car, there is off- street parking nearby. For me personally the beds were too soft.
